Coachella is going to be happening on the east coast for the first time (Liberty State Park, NJ). It is imperative that I get to go because Radiohead is perfoming. Has anyone gone to any past ones? What do the tickets usually run?

in cali i think it was $250-300 for all 3 days, and like $75-100 for just one day in particular. i didn't go, but i was living in san deezy at the time and i had a few friends that went. you were allowed to camp out, but that cost you something as well. hope it helps.

I really just want to go because of Radiohead. I could give a shit about the rest of it. As long as they tell us which day Radiohead is playing, then I'll buy a single day pass. Otherwise, fuck that shit all together.

That's pretty cool. It's usually a really good line up. Some friends of mine and I were going to go a few years ago when it was Tool head lining one night and then the 2nd night was Bauhaus and then NIN.

I flew all the way out to Coachella in 2005 just to see Nine Inch Nails for the 1st time. It was so worth it.

If some 3 day, camp-out, festival was going to be on the property next to mine, I'd protest it, too. A bunch of unshowered, drunk, disorderlies pissing on my property? NO WAY. Plus, I hear there's only one road in & out to the concert area. Traffic is going to be a nightmare for the residents.

Sources say Coachella producers AEG Live/Goldenvoice will stage a summer festival with major headliners at Liberty State Park, just across the Hudson River from lower Manhattan. The event will not carry the Coachella brand.

Liberty State Park has hosted a handful of concerts in recent years, most notably a Radiohead show shortly before the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The new event gives AEG/Goldenvoice a major summer presence in the area, where it will compete with the new Vineland festival. That event, promoted by C3 Presents and Melvin Benn's Festival Republic, will be held Aug. 8-10 at a 500-acre, privately-owned farm in Vineland, N.J., about 40 minutes outside of Philadelphia.
