I went with my wife and kids to see the Harlem Globetrotters tonight. . .

HOOOOOOLY FUCK!!! WHAT A PIECE OF FUCKING "STEP-AND-FETCH-IT" SHIT WAS THAT?!?!?:arrrh::wtf::idontknow

I was literally amazed at how awful this event was. I had never been to one of those things and I'll never go back. I went outside during the 3rd period and smoked on the "smoking terrace". The "Ole Confetti In The Bucket". . . you all know what I'm talking about. HACK!!!

Anybody else endure this little piece of Americana???

They were making racist jokes about a player named "Big Easy" being a white kid's daddy and he made some other racist remark that I can't exactly remember. . . How does that work where a white guy would have been lynched for making the same remarks to the blacks. Everybody just chuckled in their "guilt". "Big Easy" also left the game with an "injury" with seconds to go before halftime. . .only to come back out from the locker room on crutches at the start of Quarter #4 to miraculously lead the Globe Trotters to victory. . . Yech!!! :arrrh:

Yeah, I haven’t seen a show since I was a kid but I imagine now with all the "And 1" street ball shows going on they have to rely more on comedy rather than their tricks and that can't be good for anyone.

I saw this show last year in Ct. and it was not all that bad. It was stupid, but the kids enjoyed it. They were trying to entertain the kids and they did that.

It was like $10- $15 a ticket and when you compare that to paying $100 a seat to go see the stupid Knicks it was a breath of fresh air.

Sure it was hack, but what were you really expecting ??

Agreed Dopie Opie. As a kid, they (Meadowlark, Curly, etc...) ruled on Wide World of Sports. By the time I was 14, it was not my cup of tea. It's all about the kids..............yeck.
