recession fears?????

um uh we are in a recession, its just no one wants to admit it. just look at the treasury jump and the mortgage rates drop. there isnt a quick fix to this problem so they better get use to it.

yeah google or berkshire, hmm still to expensive but one can hope

All these other countries LOVE to squeeze America whenever they can... and then they come crying when the party's over.

And we're not in a recession yet. I believe 2 quarters of NEGATIVE GDP growth is a recession. Our last quater our GDP gained something like 4% if I recall correctly.

Please don't let facts get in the way. People want to believe that we're in a recession, damn anything like reality swaying them otherwise.

"Technically" that's correct. However, considering the market has fallen over 2000 points since Oct 12th, and from all outward appearances will be continuing to fall, I think the phrase 'just a market correction' can be tossed out the window at this point.

Although, it's a great time to start buying at nice discounts.

yeah lets just wait for an idicator to tell you what is happening. how about asking people who own various businesses how they are doing. not very well from the people i know and that coincides with the shift in the stock market. but you think what you want

Your argument might be more valid if I was stating that the economy is doing fantastic, nothing to worry about folks, things are going great.

I didn't.

All I've agreed with in this thread is that we're not in a recession. We may wind up that way, but it's not happened yet. That is factual. Your anecdotal evidence does not change that.
