Major TNA Against All Odds Match Spoiler Inside
01/22/2008 by Ryan Clark
In a match taped tonight for the 2/10 Against All Odds PPV, Abyss defeated Judas Mesias in TNA's second-ever no ropes, Barbed Wire Massacre match. As we noted yesterday, the decision was made to tape the match tonight and insert it into the broadcast of AAO as the Athletic Commission in South Carolina balked on allowing the company to hold the match there after initially signing off on it.
Sabu defeated Abyss at Turning Point 2005 in the company's first-ever Barbed Wire Massacre match.

Curry Man pwns. As much as I love Daniels in his Fallen Angel gimmick, gotta love the fact that Curry Man was created to be a wrestling version of a mascot to a Japanese spice company

So after my rant that i had about TNA on page 20, i have decided to buy the TNA PPV thats on tonight. I want to see what kind of PPV production they put on because i have never seen one of their PPV's before and also i want to see how they will make their Tag Team Tourney work. I personally hope that Christian and Rhyno win, i would like to see AJ with the belt again but hes paired up with Super Eric. I am looking forward to the main event which i hope will be a decent match, Steiner vs. Samoa Joe vs. Angle. I have read reports on Kurt and he hurt his neck again which is not good at all. I hope that he is okay and he makes a good decision after because i would hate to see him get fucked up really badly.

Backstage news from last night--
Tons Of Backstage TNA Sacrifice News & Notes Inside
05/11/2008 by Ryan Clark
TNA had to cut down on the size of The Pit to get the TerrorDome to fit into the Impact Zone.
Dixie Carter walked around the Impact Zone prior to the show. She had one of the TNA Tag Team Title belts with her for people to take pictures.
Jeremy Borash introduced Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins to the live crowd. He was also introduced on the live PPV
The main event of the PPV was changed to Samoa Joe vs. Steiner vs. Kaz. Obviously they didn't trust a Joe vs. Steiner single match, so Kaz was there to make it a somewhat decent match.
The Kurt Angle injury is obviously 100% legit and it's not good news at all. More on this tomorrow.
A.J Styles was not happy upon returning backstage after his botched spot during his tag team match.
The live crowd was really burned out from seeing the same guys over and over again.

he did look at little bit bigger then he was before.
i just finished watching TNA and all i have to say is taht this week was a really great week for them. It was a solid show with some really great matches. I am really like the World X Cup tournament because that means great wrestling matches. Also now tell me if im wrong here but has Samoa Joe lost some of his momentum in a way. Like i used to be a Samoa Joe fan but now i just think he's boring. All he does is cut bad promos, and TNA is forcing him to be something that he is either not ready to be or is not that versitle. When he first got to TNA he didnt get over with the crowd because of his promos, it was because of his matches. I think that Samoa Joe does have a bright future in the industry but i think that he needs to develop more. That being said i would like to see Booker T win the title at Victory Road.
The main event was great, those 4 guys are some of my favorites so it is always nice to see them wrestle. The Promo that Team 3D cut before the main event was really great and not only did it paint a good picture and it also really captured a lot of emotions and it was one of the best promos that i have seen recently, of course Jericho's surpasses theirs but thats different. Team 3D and also they followed it up with a great match. I hope that that is a sign of things to come.
As much as i like LAX and Hector Guerrero, i would like to see James Storm and Robert Roode as Tag Champs
I like their Womens Division, solid wrestlers their and i find it funny how they take shoots at the WWE Divas
Also i like the "roughcuts" that they produce i find them interesting.
all in all it was one of the better shows that i have seen TNA produce in a long time.

Booker T update and news-
TNA News: Booker T Frustrated With TNA, More On Wrestler's Departure From TNA, AJ Styles On Magazine Cover
Submitted by Daniel Pena on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 4:01 PM EST
-- Booker T has been frustrated with TNA in recent weeks, reports prowrestling.NET. Booker is a vocal critic of TNA's booking style, although some observers believe he's happier with his character's direction since the heel turn. The bulk of Booker's frustrations are with creative writers Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel. On the otherhand, Booker is said to have a good relationship with Vince Russo (who booked his first World Title win in July 2000). He also had an incident on the UK tour last month. Booker was upset over the number of meet and greets he was asked to take part in during the tour. He was also unhappy with the lack of catering in the UK venues. According to one well-placed source, Booker was so upset that he threatened to leave the tour unless the company addressed the accommodation issues to his liking. Although, his frustration over TNA's travel accommodations was said to be justified as there was no catering at some of the buildings or water on the tour bus at the time of his complaints. On another note, Booker spends most of his time backstage playing video games. Some feel he's not doing as much to help the younger wrestlers as he lets on. Although, he's been playing video games backstage dating back to his WCW, which could give a false impression that he's difficult to approach.
-- As reported yesterday, Rellik, who was on a pay-per-appearance deal, has decided to part ways with TNA. The TNA website removed his profile yesterday, thus confirming his departure from the organization. Rellik wasn't being used in recent weeks. His last appearance on Impact was on the 4/24 show in the tag team title tournament. Because TNA has started featuring two lengthy Knockouts segments per show, as well as World Cup X matches, the likes of Rellik, Black Reign and The Rock 'N' Rave Infection have been squeezed off television for the most part.
-- AJ Styles is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Fighting Spirit. They have an interview with him, which you can read at this link.

If Booker spends all his time playing video games, then he should fit in perfectly with all of the young guys in TNA. That's all those guys do as well.

Frank Trigg Talks about his move to TNA---
Source: Betweentheropes.com
On Tuesday night, July 1, Frank Trigg joined hosts Brian Fritz, Dickerman, and Vito DeNucci live on Between The Ropes on ESPN Florida AM 1080 and AM 1060 to discuss his involvement in TNA wrestling, the reaction of other fighters to his involvement in pro wrestling, how he got the nickname 'Twinkle Toes," and much more.
The conversation kicked off with Frank being asked how an MMA fighter and all round tough guy like himself wound up with the nickname "Twinkle Toes." Frank said he got it because he paints his toe nails and he had a fan over in Japan who didn't know his name, but said "I like the guy with the painted toes. "My manager heard it and that was the end of it."
Next Frank was asked about what motivates him to get into the variety of things he does in addition to fighting, such as television and professional wrestling. "I'm a bit of an attention whore. I love being in front of a camera. Whether it's as an actor, commentator, wrestler, or fighter I just loving being in front of that little lens."
The guys followed up on that topic by asking Frank how other mixed martial artists reacted to his recent involvement with TNA professional wrestling. "I train over at Xtreme Couture's here in Las Vegas and my son and I went in there yesterday to go hit mitts with my boxing coach Ron Frazier and a lot of the guys were picking on me and teasing me when I went in. But they've also got a mutual respect because they realize how you get paid in between fights. You get paid the night that you fight,…but if you don't have something else that you do in between how are you making your money?...A lot of these guys know that for me this is another extension of what I want to do." Frank then went on to say that at 36 years old and grew up a wrestling fan and wanting to be a part of it.
Regarding how challenging his pro wrestling training has been Frank said it has been "a lot harder than I ever imagined it could possibly be." Frank then said that he found the mental aspect of the pro wrestling training to be far more challenging than the physical. Frank also admitted that he would love to do an actual match, but said that it would be up to the TNA management.
As a friend and now co-worker of Kurt Angle, Trigg addressed whether or not he thinks Kurt will ever actually fight in MMA. "His body is pretty banged up, but I do think that if he really wanted to dedicate himself and get the time off from pro wrestling…and get together a good training camp there in Pittsburgh, then he could make it happen." Frank then said that he thinks if Kurt did go into MMA it would only add new injures and that "as his friend I try and talk him out of it, which is one of the flaws that makes him want to do it more and more."
Turning back to Frank's mixed martial arts career, he was asked what he thought about Matt Hughes and Georges St. Pierre since he has fought them both. Frank said that he thinks GSP is the next Matt Hughes, meaning that he sees GSP going on a long title run where he dominates his weight division. Frank then said Hughes was the strongest guy, pound for pound, that he had ever faced, something he referred to as "retard farm strength."
On his future within MMA Frank said he feels that his body has about 2 years left as a fighter. Within these two years he said he hopes to take on Robby Lawler again in a rematch from about a year ago. He also said that he's in talks with Affliction to be the lead commentator on their July 19th show.
The interview concluded with Frank talking about some of the challenges MMA fighters face in training for pro wrestling. "In the time that you train to become a professional wrestler you've really got to get rid of your ego as an MMA fighter. You can't sit there and go 'wow, this is a guy that I could really slap around right now and snap his neck.' I have to sit there and take it from him and learn from this guy that I could beat up because he knows pro wrestling better than I do…It's tough for a lot of guys to let that ego go and admit 'I suck, I'm absolutely freaking horrible, I have no idea what I'm doing, please teach me.' I'm lucky because Scott D'Amore (Frank's pro wrestling trainer) worked with Dan Severn while he was still doing the UFC. So Scotty is the perfect guy because he gets the fact that I'm egotistical and I do feel a little uncomfortable learning this new stuff. He talks me through it and gets me through it so that at the end of a session I'm like 'this is fun, because now I know what the hell I'm doing.'"

Is anyone else glad that They "took the belt" off of Joe. I liked Joe before he had the belt, but since he won it, he has just bored me. He's not that good at promos and thats how TNA is pushing him right now, to an extent. To my knowledge thats not how Joe originally got over with the crowd. He got over for what he did in the ring and his undefeated streak, and his great matches.(someone else can shed light on that) He will be a good Champ but he is boring me right now and I'm glad that they "put the belt on Booker" for the time being. At Bound for Glory the rumored Main event is Sting vs. Joe...Sting's 3rd straight BFG main event. Why not put AJ and Joe in a feud, turn one of them heel and let them good at BFG because they have proven in the past that they can put on damn good matches. Thats just my opinion on the situation. I'm not sure if anyone else feels that way or not.

Joe is a very good promo guy, and he's boring because TNA doesn't have the slightest idea how to use him.
Anyway, I'm done with TNA for the time being. I've had enough letdowns. Constantly they start to improve and then just go further into being shitty. Then they improve again, and then one night passes and they're back to being shitty for a month.
It's not worth it. So fuck it.

I was seriously into TNA for quite some time, and I still DVR it, but can't get myself to watch it anymore. When they were having good matches on TV every week, I could deal with the Russo-crap. Now, I jsut find it unwatchable.

Perfect Example of what Commish was talking about...Beer Money.. Why would they build them up like that only to have them lose a bunch and just make them look shitty. I was pulling for those guys even though i like LAX.
Also Kaz, i really want him to win the belt. Give him a year or something like that and i think he will be in the solid main event picture....who knows its TNA anything can happen with them.

They already fucked up with Kaz just like they did with Joe. If they would have done it right, Kaz would, right as we speak, be a legitimate main event guy. They started giving Kaz a big push all the way back in November of last year. He dominated a #1 Contendership tournament. At the end of it, he had a great TV match with Christian that ended with him getting screwed by the Christian Coalition. So that Sunday on PPV they had a ladder rematch, and Kaz beat Christian.
Then they gave him his World Title match on the very next Impact, and he got to look great in a loss. Then they kept him near the main eventers for a month, and by mid December, he was feuding with FUCKING GOLDUST.
He went from beating a former 2-time TNA Champion to getting beat down by a pair of jobbers and feuding with them for 2 months.
Shit like that is why I'm done with TNA. They had Kaz up as pretty much just below a main event guy, holding his own with the big stars. Then they pushed him lower on the card than he was before November. He could be a legitimate main event player right now, instead he's once again back in the role of young underdog who has main event dreams.
Fuck TNA.

Breaking News: TNA Releases Main Event Star
07/21/2008 by Chris Cash
TNA announced today that they released Kaz, yet he will be finishing up prior obligations, plus he'll be appearing on Karen's Angle to discuss his departure. This is obviously a very surprising move if it's legit, but I wouldn't be shocked if it's a "worked shoot" given his recent push. My sources in the company just read about it today as well and lean toward it being a work. We'll keep you posted here on the site.

It's 150% a work.
Yeah, any time you have a worker showing up on wrestling promotion's own kayfabe interview show (in this case, "Karen's Angle") to discuss his departure, you know it's a work.

Written by: Andy Stevens - July 30th, 2008
Source: ProWrestling.net

TNA Wrestling Announces TV Studio Expansion
Written by: Andy Stevens - July 30th, 2008
The following was released by TNA Wrestling earlier today:
TNA Wrestling is nearing completion of our brand-new 20,000 square foot TNA TV Studio near our headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee! The new studio will have several editing bays for the creation of our worldwide programming ("iMPACT!", Xplosion, etc) and DVD production, as well as standup/on-camera sets (similar to what ESPN uses). The studio will also house audio areas, a tape library, conference rooms as well as TNA's growing Merchandise Department. For those that have been employed with TNA since the beginning in 2002, this new state-of-the-art Television Studio is certainly a major milestone for our company.

Adios Tomko. Don't have the link, but the Impact taping was apparently his last, as he was saying goodbyes around the locker room after. New Japan full time. Good for him, he was decent for a big man, best of luck to him.
And further reason why I'm going to continue not watching TNA:
Hinting at MCMG breakup after a loss to Jay Lethal & Creed (dropped the Consequences). Why must they ruin things I like...

Mike Foley Reportedly Going To TNA After WWE Contract Expires
Written by: Mike Landau - August 13th, 2008
The UK Sun is reporting that Mick Foley will be heading to TNA when his contract expires with WWE at the end of this month.
A friend of Foley is quoted as saying, "Mick's body cannot handle a full time schedule, even in TNA."
"But he's hell bent on doing everything he can to further his legacy and put them on the map."
"So Mick's plan is to wrestle select dates, like Sting currently does."
"He feels he will legitimately make a big difference in the way TNA Wrestling is perceived by the public!"

*Spoilers* TNA iMPACT Taping Results (8/14)
08/13/2008 by Andy Steven
Thanks to Chris Johnson for the following results from last night's TNA iMPACT tapings. These will air this Thursday night on SpikeTV:
(1) Consequences Creed & the Motorcity Machine Guns d. the Prince Justice Brotherhood.
(2) Christian Cage & Rhino d. The Rock 'n Rave Infection.
(3) Matt Morgan d. Johnny Devine.
(4) Sheik Abdul Bashir d. Jay Lethal. After the match Sonjay came out and attacked Lethal.
(5) Taylor Wilde d. Christy Hemme with Traci Brooks as the special referee. After the match, Kong came to the ring and destroyed Taylor until Gail Kim made the save.
(6) Hernandez d. James Storm.
- Jim Cornette announced the main event for No Surrender. It will be Samoa Joe putting his title on the line in a Fatal 4 Way match. There will be 3 matches to decide who his opponents will be and the first one will take place next week with Booker T vs Rhino.
(7) AJ Styles d. Kurt Angle. The lights went out at one point and when they came back on Angle had a black bat. As he went use] it they went out again and when they came back on this time AJ had a guitar which he used on Angle and got the win.
To answer your question Aizazzle I guess Jarret does have "Special powers" like sting considering the spoilers for this week.
A sting vs. Jarret storyline would be good in my opinion because when they did that storyline the first time in TNA i wasnt a fan so i missed it. So i would be interested in this one. But who knows......its TNA

TNA Spoilers for August 21st
Thanks to James for sending in these results from last night's TNA iMPACT tapings that will air next Thursday night, the 21st.
- Hernandez d. Robert Roode
- BG James & Eric Young d. the Motor City Machine Guns. The Guns didn't really play heel during the match and the crowd was for them. After the match, BG & Eric shook hands with Shelley, but when BG put his hand out to Sabin, Sabin slapped him and a brawl then occurred. Security came out to separate both teams.
- Matt Morgan d. Frankie Capone. Brother Ray came out running down Morgan on the mic after the match, and then got in the ring. Brother Devon then snuck up on Morgan from behind and the team took Morgan down. Abyss then came out for the save.
- Booker T d. Rhino in a qualifying match for the fatal four-way main event at No Surrender. Christian Cage came out during the match and carried Sharmell to the back.
- Consequences Creed vs. Petey Williams in an X-Division Championship Match went to a no-contest after Sheik Abdul Bashir interfered and knocked out the referee. He beat down Creed and then started arguing with Petey, though nothing ever happened between the two.
- Awesome Kong d. Gail Kim in a Street Fight. After the match, Gail's sister (I'm guessing) hopped the rail and got in the ring to help her. Kong got her but ODB and Roxxi made the save before she could do anything.
- AJ Styles (w/Samoa Joe) d. Kurt Angle (w/Booker T) in a ladder match for Angle's gold medal. Booker and Joe fought multiple times around the ring. As AJ and Angle were both near the top of the ladder, the lights went out and Jeff Jarrett's music hit. When the lights came back on, AJ had the guitar and smashed it over Angle's head which allowed him to grab the medal for the win.
- ODB & Roxxi d. Jacqueline & Rhaka Khan for Xplosion.
- Jay Lethal d. Johnny Devine for Xplosion.

-Jacqueline says she's craving a "peach taco" and James Storm remarked "that figures"
-Hernandez calls out James Storm by referring to him as "white boy"

Contracts in TNA that are going to expire--
TNA Contracts Set To Expire; Christian Cage & Sting's Status
Written by: Cornelius Wilson - August 27th, 2008
Christian Cage, Sting, Team 3D, and Kevin Nash contract with TNA expires before the end of this year. Sting's contract is believed to be near finalization with an extension, as he has stated in the past that he would not appear on television unless his contract has been renewed. He appeared at the TV tapings this week.
The door is still open for a Christian Cage WWE return according to sources within the company. He left on good terms and would be able to make his return with a storyline involving Edge. He has told friends that he's happy with his current situation in TNA, which is what he told people regarding WWE before his departure.

The TNA video game is a piece of shit. It could be one of the worst games. Mid Way games did an AWWWWWFFFFFFFFFULLLLL job. It is so frustrating. I wish there was some way to transport the characters in the tna game to the wwe game because i want to play as AJ, Sting, Kurt, Joe, Daniels, Christian but in order to play as them i have to play that awful game.
As for the show its self, the only way i can watch is if i suspend my disbelief to an extreme point, or watch it at 5am when im still waking up.

Foley makes his way up the ramp and says, 'See you in Chicago!'
Xplosion
Sonjay Dutt defeated Petey Williams.
I have to say for all the bashing that we give TNA, this Respect storyline that they are doing is really great. The promos, are amazing. Sting, Jarrett, and Angle, all have done an amazing job as of late, when it comes to promos.
Also i agree with Lance Storms thoughts on the storyline-
I also wanted to mention TNA Impact. I’ve been too busy to post many TV thoughts but I want to give credit were credit is due. I’ve found TNA Impact the last 3 weeks to be some of the strongest episodes they’ve produced in a while. I think their new “TNA Originals vs. Veterans/TNA bandwagon jumpers” (or what ever you want to call it) program could be fantastic and is a great idea. The Jarrett – Angle promo segment last week was one of the best things TNA has done in a long time.
I really hope this angle is used to bring “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels back. If Christian turns on AJ and joins Booker, Angle and Sting it would be the perfect opportunity for AJ to bring back fellow TNA original and tag team partner Daniels. Wasn’t Daniels even labeled “Mr. TNA” at one point? Reuniting AJ, Daniels and Joe, as three of the guys who really put TNA on the map would be fantastic. The possibilities of this angle are endless.
If they do go down that road with teaming, Chris, AJ, and Styles back up again. that would be great. I really hope that they do that. But for all the good things TNA does, they fuck something up so idk.
Mick Foley talks about his role at BFG-
Mick Foley announced last night at the TNA iMPACT! taping, which will air on Thursday night, that he will be the special enforcer for the Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett match at Bound For Glory. You can read full spoilers for the show in our "Impact Results" headline on the main news board

TNA Looking Forward To Sting & Ric Flair Program
Written by: Cornelius Wilson - October 05th, 2008
Sting has verbally agreed to work for TNA for another year. It's unknown if a contract been signed, but he did give the company his word.
Officials are looking forward to a program between Sting and Ric Flair. Flair's non-compete contract expires in August 2009. It is unknown what Flair's status will be then, as of this moment the general feeling is that if he was allowed to sign with TNA now he wouldn't do it. WWE has expressed that the departure with Flair ended on good terms, but his decision to leave didn't sit well with some people backstage.
