I think Jr. is the way he is during interviews now because he is concentrating on what he's going to say. He's censoring himself. He swears alot and doesn't wanna let one slip and lose points.

I'll take a 5th place finish for Jr., considering how much they had to work on the car to get there.
Here's to stupid fucking questions during post race interviews. ;p
A guy has a chance at a win, leading most of the race and wrecks at the end and you ask if it was diappointing? That's the best you got?
I'll second that, on interviewing Burton's hole. WHO CARES???!!! You bring nothing to the table.

You know what's kind of surprising?
There's a Roush car (McMurray), a DEI car (R. Smith), a Ganassi car (Franchitti), and an Evernham car (Carpentier) outside the top 35 in points heading into Martinsville. And then the usual borderline suspects like Blaney, Petty and the 21 car on the outside as well.
Maybe if McMurray misses the show at some point, that'll be enough to get them to change that stupid top-35 rule. Let the fastest 36 get in, and then leave 7 spots for provisionals like they used to.
The non-top 35 teams are screwed by this new rule since they have to spend most of the practice session working on qualifying, while the top 35 can spend the entire time on race setup. So if a non-top 35 team does make the show, they're still way behind on practice time in race trim and its harder for them to have good runs to get them up higher in points.

No doubt, when they showed those in car shots of him hunched over the wheel it was tough to watch. If it was one of those cookie cutter tracks or longer it wouldn't have been so bad but a short track(good thing it wasn't Bristol) that was impressive considering he said he would be happy if he made the half way mark.

Dont forget their epic fail move of getting rid of Ward Burton. And I'm not just saying that cause I'm a Ward fan.
watch what happens when you get rid of Ward as your driver:
Haas:
2004- Ward Burton-28th in owners points (this was the teams first almost full year with a single driver, but they released him with 3 races left, then the team dropped to 31st in owner points in 3 races)
2005- Mike Bliss- 29th in owners points
2006- Jeff Green- 29th in owners points
2007- Jeff Green- 31st in owners points
2008- Scott Riggs- 31st in owners points (thru 7 races)
Bill Davis Racing:
2003- Ward Burton- 21st in owners points
2004- Scott Wimmer- 28th in owners points
2005- Scott Wimmer- 32nd in owners points
2006- Dave Blaney- 27th in owners points
2007- Dave Blaney- 34th in owners points
2008- Dave Blaney- 37th in owners points (thru 7 races)

Sauter was probably the most logical decision. He didnt have to reschedule anything, and he has a history with Haas CNC racing. He was just recently dropped from his Nationwide team, so he was just sitting home twiddling his thumbs.

Sauter shouldnt have been out of the ride to begin with, IMO.
He did a fine job keeping that team up in/near the top 35 in points all year, and is a fantastic short track driver.

I've got kind of a stupid question... Why do they run clockwise around the track on road courses, but counter-clockwise on ovals?

I found this on Jayski:
# Why do drivers on an oval go counterclockwise and only make 'lefts'?
Have heard a few things. One is that race cars go counterclockwise on ovals because horses go counterclockwise on their tracks. And as we all know, most of the first automobile races in America were held at horse tracks.
Road courses were usually built with open wheel cars in mind.
The driver is no closer to the pit wall regardless of which way
he's facing so they probably were just designed to be run clockwise.
In Nascar, going counterclockwise also leaves the driver closer to the wall
in the event of needed driver changing, giving him water, ect.
Also in the early days they had no radios so he was closer to yell instructions to.
My best guess.

I also give Denny some of the blame for what happened. Asshole stops on the track to draw the caution. Probably to help his teammate since he couldn't win. Mike for or one of the Gibbs came up with that little gem of an idea. I think Jr had it locked up if the caution hadn't come out. Those two dicks weren't gonna let that happen. I used to like Denny but after the past few weeks of the shit he's been doing and the way he's driving he's getting on my nerves.
bill333
05-04-2008, 03:51 PM
I wasn't sure of the angle and I know the announcers talked about it but it looked a bit like Jr. came down the track, either to make it harder for dickwad or whatever. I just atributed it to hard racing - Jr. going hard for the 1st win in over two years and for the new team and dickwad to wanting to win the race. I don't think he turned into him, just from him losing the car. Yeah he should have backed off if he couldn't make a clean pass but that's what the history of this sport has dealt with. It makes it harder to take, when it's your driver and wanting to break a dry spell. No, he's not even close to Sr. but Sr. would have drove just as hard to get by and he even did it to his best friends. Dickhead should have been a little more appologetic about it, instead of saying what he did. His turn will come though and we'll see what he has to say afterwords. In his short time here, he's taking too many people out.
On a second note. How is there not a black flag for staying out on the track, when they knew full and well that their tire was going down? Even though there was one anyway, he could have caused a massive pileup if his tire blew going into a turn.
This sucked monkey balls, to say the least. He should have gone on to win, if not for Hamlin. I'm just glad Bowyer got the win instead of Kyle.
It's good to see Jr. getting good cars, week after week and he'll get his win soon enough.

It was April the forty-first

My barracuda was in the shop

So I pulled into a Shell Station
They said I'd blown a seal
I said, "Fix the damn thing

Okay pal?"

That remains to be seen. I'm not gonna crown that kid the next chosen one after 1 race. Granted it was a good run but for some reason it always seems like the ones they make a big deal out of before they do anything always fail to meet expectations. Didnt watch the Busch Series Race (Yeah, I still call it the Busch Series.)
Let me get this straight? Douche Kyle whined about getting caught up in a wreck? Hey fuckface, the whole reason that series exists is to be a feeder into the Cup series. It's SUPPOSED to be a series full of future-stars, has-beens, and never-weres. (You'd think Colin Quinn and Vos would be featured in TV ads...) You (and half the Cup Series) shouldnt be participating in those races in the first place. Dont like getting caught up in a wreck? Then stay the fuck in your own series.
I used to love the Busch Series back when they had the Kenseth/Jr rivalry, and guys like Magic Shoes Mike McLaughlin, Glenn Allen Jr, Jeff Purvis, the Green Bros., etc. Now its like the Free FM Show...same cast of characters as the XM Show, but not as outrageous or wild.

Had a good time at Pocono yesterday. A little warm but a nice breeze blew at times.
Seats were great. At the top of the stands not too far under the boxes. You could
see all of the track from up there and the sun went behind the boxes after about 1 1/2 hrs.
We were about half way between the pit entrance and the finish line. When Bowyer crashed
out he ended up dead in front of us. The place went nuts when Kunt Busch crashed and when
Montoya lit up in a ball of flames. Good times.
The place sucks to get out of but so do most of the other tracks I've ever been to.
Guess that's just something you always have to deal with.
Other than that, had a blast.

If there is anyway you could help me out with that I would be ever so greatful. The only thing I worry about with putting the sponsor in is when it changes. They seem to do it so often anymore. Maybe DaleJR88

Really happy for JR I was really happy for his win. I loved watching the turn engine off coast turn engine on coast the way things are going thats how I will be driving to work.:icon_evil or maybe I will just get some of those day labor mexicans to push me and might be able to get a donkey for cheap they have connections you know. And no you crazy fucks it's not for a donkey show to help pay for gas but I do know a couple of skanks;) I could be on to something as long as it doesn't involve pitbulls I could fly under the radar

No, it was just Stewart sarcastically commenting on the meeting NASCAR had last week about not complaining about the COT, etc.

ESPN showed one camera view of the accident and I wonder if he was already gone when the car exploded rather than the crash into the netting/wall. In that view you can see a boom with a camera at the end of the strip, just wondering if they aren't showing that angle due to a disturbing image. Either way it's hard to lose another racer in our motorsport world.

Yes, there was more footage than what is being shown, though I haven't seen it. I'm thinking it was only shown live.
And also, he was alive through the whole thing. He died at the hospital or on the way from his injuries.

Direct qoute from that fag about Montoya
“He can go out and he can run fast, but he’s all over the place,’’ Harvick says. “And every week it seems like he runs into a different person. I
