What movie is that from?
Thanks!

I could be wrong, but wasn't that from Sixteen Candles?

It is from the Weird Al Yankovic movie, called UHF. In the movie, there was a TV show called "Wheel of Fish." The Japanese host, asked if the contestant wanted to take the money, or what was in the box. She chose the box, which contained nothing. The host then shouted at her, "STUPID- YOU'RE SO STUPID!!!"

:D

I do believe it was the same guy who played "Long Duck Dong" in Sixteen Candles.

I suck for knowing all that...

Sounds like from An Officer & a Gentleman when the DI was gonna kick Richard Gere out the program. (Officer Training?)

I'm almost positive Marye is correct.

Here's one that's been bugging me for a while:
"OK, terrific!"

I'm not sure where that came from originally, but the boys started saying it after they heard it it in the middle of one of their sweepers. It went something like this:
Male Voice 1: I can't go 5 minutes without spanking my junk.
Male Voice 2: OK, Terrific!

Didn't the 'OK terrific' originate from an outake from an advertisement. Damn, i dont ever remember anymore, i was still in high school when that originated. damn, im getting old.

Since quotes are going on here how about " 2 sharks in an ocean of halibat" (sp?) I always wondered where that one came from...till recently. LOL

Listening to some SU reruns, I guess the "OK, Terrific" came from the same guy who usually ends the sweepers by saying, "The Opie and Anyhony Show!"
When he finished a reading one day, the engineer told him they were done, and he said "Ok, Terrific." The engineer apparently thought it was quite funny, and forwarded it on to OandA...and the rest is history.

I think "I'ts gonna make you puke", comes from "The Jerk."

BTW- where does the "2 hungry sharks in a world full of halibut" come from? I always thought it was someone who called into the
show..?

My big question is: where does "When your telling these little storys, here's an idea- have a point! It makes it so much more interesting for the listener!" come from? I thought that one was also Steve Martin, but I could be wrong. Does anybody know?

"It's gonna make you puke" is indeed from The Jerk.

The second one is from Steve Martin and John Candy's Planes Trains and Autmobilles.

Can anyone name these?

"I'm gonna buy you a pizza..."

"I tell you that was the best piece of ass I've ever had, and I've had 'em all over the world."

"He was bangin' cocktails waitresses two at a time."

I'm pretty sure its from the time Burt Ward (Robin from the old Batman TV Show) Called in.

That's right- Burt Ward! I forgot about when he called in, and they kept asking him about the infamous package size, lol.

I think the "I'm gonna buy you a pizza" is Al Pacino, but I don't know what movie it's from. Scent of a Woman, Maybe?

As far as "She was the greatest piece of ass I've ever had, and I've had 'em all over the world" and "He was bangin' cocktails waitresses two at a time" -

GODFATHER I !!!!!

You are denying yourself a great pleasure, if you have not seen that movie about 50 times! :bigok

The "hungry sharks and halibate" is from the burt ward call. Funny ass call to, Dice on one end and Robin on the other.

And I always wondered where the "when telling these stories, have a point " came from. I forgot about planse trains and cars. :D

PT&A was a good movie. :)

Here's a real easy one...
"You use your tongue purtier than a $20 whore."

Bonus if you know the character and the actor.

Slim Pickens playing Taggert in Blazing Saddles.
Too easy!

Blazing Saddles
Slim Pickens as Taggart.

Man, that movie rules. I gotta go rent that tonight...

"THE SHERIFF IS A NIG " - (Ring! Ring! Ring!)
"What did he say?"
"He says the sheriff is near..."

Never fails to make me laugh.

Kid In The Hall.
Don't know what skit it as from... wasn't it a skit involving the sheriff of a town being gay? Something like "Faggot Sheriff..?"

nice J7. It's from a Kids in the Hall skit called "Running Faggot".

Howdy...... faggot.

ShavedLebaneseBear
06-15-2003, 08:54 PM
Ah, yes. Now, I remember.
Didn't the theme song for that skit include the lyrics, " Run Faggot, run!!" or something like that?

Man, I used to love that show. Reruns are cool, but when Comedy Central edits it, it sucks...
