It may come off as sour grapes, but the New Kid has a point. No point bitching about it, though. Upsets are a big part of football, and always have been. The Giants went into all 4 of their Super Bowls as the less talented team and came away with three victories. They're truly the most blessed franchise the NFL has ever seen.

I think the article implies that the Giants were the more focused team. Between Brady's foot thing on his foot, Giselle, and all the spygate stuff, the Patriots lost their edge over the two week layoff. Saying that takes nothing away from the Giants, who had a great gameplan and took advantage.

I'm glad there has been a lot of focus on the Manning to Tyree pass, because their first two Super Bowl wins are remembered more for who lost them than who won them. With even most Giants fans focusing on 18-1 instead of celebrating their team's victory, this one may end up the same way, but Tyree catching that ball with his head will be the enduring image at least.
