Ok So I copied some posts into a new thread for us all to have fun with. All the posts up to 25 are copies from the Giants and Patriots Threads.

I thought a nice light hearted smashing was in order

My Comments from after the game are in Blue :)

I think the Giants have more than a puncher's chance in this one. You have to think they'll be carrying a little swagger in to Arizona after having hung with, and even led the Patriots by as much as 12 in week 17 and having improved since then.

This is going to be a fun game but I can see Ny having a hell of a time keeping this game close this time. There QB will buckle under the pressure,,,they haven't faced the "new Maroney," (when the pats set up for the run he cant be stopped), and they are lethal in warm temps,,,so have fun tripple covering Moss and leaving the rest of the crew open to score,,,then change it up and let moss be one on one to burn you guys,,,then try to stop our run,,,and make sure your qb with his ten year old face is shaking like a leaf staring at a Defense that is trying to go UNDEFEATED,,,and try to trash talk and do some extra pushing on the field like Seymour (only don't get caught cause' he has perfected it,,,I also see them falling for NE's mind games and getting a bunch of 15 yard penalties)

Congraluations Giants fans, your team definitely earned it. You know what I really do think they can beat the Patriots.

I think it's great as well but hold on about winning...Eli looks like a baby and is going to be nervous to begin with and will overthrow,,,he's gonna be staring at a Defense trying not just to win the bowl but to go UNDEFEATED. Giants are not ready and cant be ready for the pats new run game (nobody can stop em when the pats actually set up for the run),,,they also have nothing they can do about the pats wide range of recievers= go ahead and tripple up moss,,,we will score other ways,,,try to change and stop those other ways= Moss scores,,,or give it to Faulk then Maroney. Oh and pats in warm weather=:icon_eek: Look it up.

You won't be able to find all out gloating like ol' norton has done from a Yankees fan. And I believe Yankee fans had to take it pretty hard after 2004. This is payback for that and instead of focusing on an entire fanbase (which isn't fair) we focus on the most obnoxious of the bunch.

For the record, I don't hate the Patriots at all. I would have rooted for them against anyone but the Giants. The fact that the fucking Giants were the team to beat them and shut up some of their most obnoxious fans makes it all the more sweet.

The whole thing though is pretty tongue in cheek. I think everyone just wants to see him make an appearance and take his beating. After that he will have to endure the occasional quip here and there but other than that he will be free to go back and taunting over the accomplishments of teams that he isn't a part of.

This whole week has been stellar. The Giants winning, the allegations about the Patriots spying on the Rams before the Super Bowl, just all around good times. Personally, I don't care about the camera bullshit since a lot of teams probably do it, but the point is that when that Mitchell Report came up and all of the Yankee players were in it some people were giving me crap about the 2000 World Series and how they cheated. I just told them that of course Yankee players would get bagged, the two biggest informants that Mitchell had access to were based in New York. It doesn't mean that others didn't cheat. Now the shoe is on the other foot with the spying and I just love it.

Once the 19-0 Denied shirt arrives I probably won't take it off for a week. Even wearing it rank will be worth it to just taunt these fucks.

I was going to write up a big thing explaining how I am a "true fan" but, fuck it...think what you want, I don't give a shit.

For future reference.

Baseball is my first sport and I was born and raised in The Bronx as a Yankees fan. Period.

My family spent a lot of time in Miami when I was a kid and I was raised as a Dolphins fan. When I got to an age where I wanted to make my own choices, the Jets and their "Sack Exchange" were the big deal. Not to be a front runner, I chose to follow the G-Men. The Fish are my second team in the NFL.

Same with hockey...moved from The Bronx to L.I. in 79-80 when the Islanders were on the verge of exploding....I was 10. Wasn't really a hockey fan but, all my new friends were and they ALL followed the Islanders. I started to get into hockey and wanted my own team to follow for the rest of my life. For the following reasons, I chose to follow the Rangers...Not to be a front runner, to be true to my NYC roots, to be different and just to be a dick.

I don't really care about basketball but, I WILL hop on the Knicks bandwagon whenever they make the playoffs. I am a total Knick bandwagon fan.

Believe me or don't believe me....don't care. I will have you note that I have not brutally attacked "Norton23" or any other Pats fan. It's all been just good natured "poking fun at" in the typical Wackbag nature.

I would like to make sure im labeled strictly as a 'hater' and not a 'jumper' by any means.

As for Giants fans, I have plenty of friends who were off and totally against them at the begining of the season. After that Minny game, Im sure if you asked 10 Giants fans what they thought of Eli and the team, 9 of them would tell you he sucked and they had no shot. One of my friends was trashing Eli as late as week 12 yet I just looked at pictures of him from the SB game where hes wearing a fucking Eli jersey. Truth is, its hard to be on your team 100% of the time. There were plenty of moments last season where I pretty much gave up on the yankees.
Im down on the Jets every season but I would never pull and Opie and root for the pats the way he did. If you can root for the Pats that strongly, your not a Jets fan

It was the 18-0, plus Spy Gate, plus running up the score, plus the perception of Belichek, plus Rodney Harrison. It was a lot of factors.

I wasn't arguing anything about the corollaries between the games, just the Yankee and Patriot comparison. People really hate the Yankees, because they won, they spent money, they had an asshole like Steinbrenner running the team, and their fans have the reputation for being assholes. People hate the Patriots because they won, they spent money and brought in a shit load of talent (besides smartly drafting etc), they had an asshole like Belichek coaching the team, and their fans have the reputation for being assholes.

How many fans piled on the Yankees after 2004? A shitload. Were they all Red Sox fans? Fuck no. Hell, even the people around here weren't really Red Sox fans until they won. Same sort of shit here. My brother is a Jets fan and hates the Giants but was rooting for them because he hates the Patriots more, my father is the same way, my best friend is a Bills fan and hates the Giants but was rooting for them over the Pats. A lot of people were like this.

The team you root for is the football version of the Yankees (minus the century worth of dominance though) and norton23 is the prototypical loudmouth fan who is getting bashed here.

You just need to deal with it. This isn't an all out attack on the Patriots, its just mainly guided at one poor individual who talked a lot of shit that a set of laundry that he roots for didn't back up for him.

You know when it had to end? At the end of the season when they were 19-0. You're going to tell me that its no big deal that they lost because "it had to happen at some point"? Not for nothing, I would much rather have that first lost at the first game of the following season where they raise the Superbowl banner.
For the record, 18-1 has been done and the teams that did it didnt get the "1" in the game that meant the most. You can pretend all you want that beating the Jets, Bills and Dolphins twice while steamrolling teams in September was historic and all but in the end, The Pats will be remembered as the 4th best team in NFL history (record wise).

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder myself. I know based on another thread he started that he was in recovery and I sincerely hope something like sports wouldn't screw that up. My bet is he's taking a break from the interwebs for a while like Bob Kelly not answering E-mails for 2 weeks. He better not make us worry about him so we'll just be glad to see him when he returns and he'll get off scott free.

ok last time Im gonna say it.....18-0 had NEVER been done agreed?

Then they lost the SB. Ya think it would have been nice if they won the SB? Would have it have been? Ya think? Duh. Yes they LOST the SB. we all watched it. No excuses here. It was a well earned win for NYG. I will never take anything away from NYG for that win. The D was great. Eli didnt deserve the MVP but you cant break up the MVP 3-5 ways among a D-line and the award usually goes to a QB so whatever and thats debateable anyways.

Steamrolling shit teams like the jets, bills and fins meant nothing. they where just check marks on the way to 18. nothing more, nothing less. they blew it in the end. end of story. no SB win in the end for 19th? coulda woulda shoulda. no legend to write in the story books thats all. was a great run while we had it. loved every minute of it and you would have to. 18-0 puts them into the top 5 all time teams in history. cant take that away. no matter how much hate you have for them.
