Here's the thread for your Wrestlemania speculation. Matches, Angles, and all that other stuff we look forward too once a year. So far I see the card lining up as follows:
HHH vs Cena for the Raw Title
Edge vs Taker for the SD Title
Punk vs Chavo for the Tuesday Night Heat Title
Maria vs Phoenix for the Cunt Title
Morrison and Miz vs Dreamer and Mikey Whipwreck v2.0 for the SD/ECW Tag Titles
Santino and Carlito vs Holly and Rhodes for the Raw Tag Titles
Flair vs HBK
Money in the Bank featuring Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Fit Finley and others
and if he's cleared by then, Matt Hardy vs MVP
So what's your take?

Hardy vs MVP- Hardy makes his triumphant return, and beats MVP for the US title. For this to go down any other way would be a travesty..

Considering the fact that Wrestlemania is 46 days away and there is a shitload of talent from main eventers to mid carders, that gives the WWE alot of time to come up with a solid line up. However, I'm not really that optimistic. I would like to add though, if it is Cena vs Triple H, can we finally get that Cena heel turn and keep Triple H face for a little bit longer.

I dont think theyll put Kofi Kingston in a big Wrestlemania match this year, he's too new. Maybe they will, though. You never know. Too bad he's stuck on Tuesday Night Heat. I'd really like to see him move to Raw one day. Hopefully soon.

I would rather see him have a face run as the champ. Don't get me wrong, Triple H is probably one of the best heels of all time. Its just that if he is heel, who is he going to face that is currently on the WWE roster, that he hasn't faced already. The only person I could think of is Kennedy, but Kennedy has his own potential to be a great heel.

Your right, i didnt think of that. But i dont think that Kennedy is ready for a WWE Championship Contender.
HHH wins the belt at WM24
Feuds with Cena until the PPV in june or something.
If they make a last second change, Then have Kennedy Retire Flair at WM24,
Build up Kennedy the next couple of months then start the rivalry between HHH and Kennedy after the first PPV in June, and finally coming to an end at SumerSlam.
Or something along those lines

Just thought of something VERY unlikely, but still slightly possible.
Ricky Steamboat is on the WWE's payroll. He could come out of retirement and retire Flair at Wrestlemania.
Like I said, very unlikely, I have more of a chance at being picked out of the crowd and beating Cena for the title, but just something to think about.

Steamboat wanted to do something against Flair a few years back when they first hired him to be an agent, but the brass declined.
It will be HBK.

Can Ricky Steamboat still wrestle? I mean, he's not injured or anything, is he? He didn't have a career ending injury? I always liked how he'd blow the fire out of his mouth before his matches.

Back on track, from the February thread
Right now the rumored Wrestlemania 24 card looks like Randy Orton vs. HHH vs. John Cena, Finlay vs Vince McMahon, Edge vs. Undertaker, Ric Flair vs. Batista, MVP vs. Matt Hardy, Money in the Bank, JBL vs. Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels.
One thing that could stop Smackdown from moving to MyNetworkTV is HD. The station currently does not offer and apparently has no plans to anytime soon.

Rey Mysterio will not be wrestling at WrestleMania after all. Mysterio is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair his torn biceps muscle this Friday, reports prowrestling.NET. He will miss between four and six months.
After missing WrestleMania last year, Mysterio had his sights set on wrestling at this year's event as there were plans to do a Mysterio & Floyd Mayweather vs. Big Show & Shane McMahon match. As a consolation prize, Mysterio, who was seen briefly shown backstage on Raw tonight with Mayweather, has been been assured that he will still be involved in the angle in some way.

2 New Matches Added To WWE WrestleMania 24 - Details
02/25/2008 by Ryan Clark
Floyd "Money" Mayweather vs. The Big Show is now official for Wrestlemania 24. WWE had contacted boxer Oscar De La Hoya regarding Wrestlemania. The idea was for De La Hoya to team with Rey Mysterio Jr. against Mayweather Jr. and a partner. The De La Hoya vs. Mayweather boxing match did 2.4 million PPV buys. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that De La Hoya's camp turned it down wanting nothing to do with pro wrestling.
At the WrestleMania 24 press conference earlier today in Los Angeles, a match was announced that will feature Maria and Candice Michelle teaming in what was described as a Playboy Bunny Match. Opponents for Candice and Maria were not named.
Here is the updated card for WWE WrestleMania 24 on Sunday, March 30, live and only on Pay Per View from Orlando, Florida at the Florida Citrus Bowl:
WWE Championship - Triple Threat Match
- Randy Orton (c) vs. Triple H vs. John Cena.
World Heavyweight Championship Match
- Edge (c) vs. The Undertaker.
"Money in the Bank" Ladder Match
(Winner earns a shot at a WWE World Title)
- Qualified so far: WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy, Mr. Kennedy and Shelton Benjamin.
- Floyd "Money" Mayweather vs. The Big Show.
Playboy Bunny Match
- Maria & Candice Michelle vs. to be announced.
As always, we will be providing live PBP coverage of WWE WrestleMania 24 on Sunday, March 30 starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern (6:00 p.m. Central). Stay tuned for more.

Breaking News: 50 Cent To Appear At 'Mania 24 w/ Mayweather
03/04/2008 by Ryan Clark
This morning Floyd "Money" Mayweather and rapper 50 Cent appeared on New York hip hop radio station "Power 105". While talking about his upcoming match with the Big Show at WrestleMania XXIV, Mayweather told 50 Cent, "I'd like for you to bring me out [to the ring]". 50 answered, "I'm coming. I'm coming."
MTV.com confirms "50 Cent Joining Floyd Mayweather At 'WrestleMania' Match Against Big Show"
This would not be the first time 50 Cent was at Floyd Mayweather's side for a big fight. 50 rapped his hit song "I Get Money" while escorting Mayweather to the ring before his fight with Oscar De La Hoya last year.
In a recent interview with MTV News, Mayweather was asked about 50 Cent and said, "We got a friendship. We talk about business a little bit. We talked about it when Coca-Cola bought VitaminWater. He said, 'You didn't see what I just did?' .. I said 'Of course I did. Congratulations. Now you have to take me out to eat.'"

- There is talk of adding CM Punk vs. Chavo Guerrero in an Extreme Rules match for the ECW Title to the lineup.
- Three spots remain for this year's Money in the Bank ladder match. Currently the favorites for those finals spots are Elijah Burke, Kane and believe it or not The Great Khali.
If they put Khali in there I'm going to be pissed. Also i think that they are going to make some sort of Roof thing so that if it rains the ring will not get all wet and shit.

Don't forget about everybody's favorite, ******loving, "reality star", Kim Kardashian. Also the WWE is going to ruin a good thing, if they are serious about putting Khali in the MITB match. I think by the end of tommorrow's Smackdown, we should know who the final 3 wrestlers are going to be.

What a moron Hardy is. When I saw that Jericho won the IC Title from him, I assumed it was because Hardy was going to win the Ladder Match and possibly get a WWE Title win at some point. I guess not. My guess is Jericho wins it, but I could see Kennedy winning it again, too.
I don't know who will replace him. I'd assume CM Punk is getting a shot at the ECW title at WM, so that rules him out. By now, anyone who means anything to the company has either been booked in a match or is already in the MiTB match. Maybe Kane? Yeah Kane was in the MITB match, a couple of years ago. I have been pulling for him to get one of the final spots. Although I think a Kane/Undertaker feud is one of those feuds, that I think we have gotten everything we possibly could out of it and its time to move on. (HBK/Triple H being another one). Its almost like they still haven't been able to find a direction, in the aftermath of the Beniot thing and the subsequent suspensions of talent that followed. Then the returns of Jericho and JBL have just seemed to add to the mess. Money wise, it was going to be a long shot that I was going to order it anyway, so I don't have to worry about being disappointed. I will say though, if the WWE were smart, they would let JR and the King call the whole show.

Back in the good ol' days when they only used to run 4 ppv's a year, this event actually meant something to the fans. They would slowly build over MONTHS, not weeks or days, storylines that had people hooked. I remember being driven an hour to the Peoria Civic Center to watch WM III on closed circuit TV. Why? because after the long slow build up of Hogan vs. Andre, you had to see how it turned out. Even though it was a shitty match, it worked because of the perfect hype.
Wrestlemania now is just a glorified RAW. There is nothing special about it. Matches are thrown together at the last minute, and its the exact same shit you can see on TV for free. What are they possibly going to show you or do that would justify $55.00?

My prediction for the Big Show/Mayweather match is that Mayweather wins by DQ after Big Show refuses to stop beating the hell out of him. Well... I like the idea somewhat. ENOUGH with the Triple H love already. Can we PLEASE get something new and fresh? I'd like to see Flair beat Michaels at 'Mania. Orton retains the title as well. The next night, we go back to the very beginning of the Flair retirement storyline. Flair takes on Orton, the first guy who tried to end his career in this story, and Flair beats him for the title. He then has an emotional retirement speech the following week on RAW and vacates the title and goes out as a 17 time champion.
Then they run a tournament for the belt that lasts a couple months and ends on a PPV with the new champion being a guy who has never held a world title before. THAT is how you go into the summer. Not with another fucking stale Triple H title reign where he'll probably be feuding with Cena or Orton. That is the absolute worst case scenario.

I wouldn't mind Flair beating HBK at WM. It would certainly be unexpected to most people, but I don't like the idea of him winning the title and vacating it. To me, it doesn't do any good for the company and takes away from the ext champ's legitimacy a little because he never actually beat the previous champ. To me, vacating the title should only be done when the champion isinjured and unable to safely drop the belt in a match or in some sort of "controvery" like the Hogan/Andre/DiBiase angle. Why not let Flair elevate someone on his way out if that's the result you want in the end? Have a tournament to name a new #1 contender and have that guy go over a more-established guy in the final match like HHH, HBK, Orton, etc. and then beat Flair for the title. They can build it up throughout the tournament that he's an underdog against so many other former champs and then have more buildup to the title match.
Having said that, my preference would be to see Jericho take the title from Flair instead of someone who hasn't held the title (because I think Jericho deserves another title run and I don't think anyone who hasn't held the belt before is rady to be the champ just yet). Have it build up similar to the Flair/HBK WM match with mutual respect and all that, then have Jericho cheat to win the title and turn heel. Cocky heel Jericho is always good TV. Then, there can be a tournament for the newly-vacated IC Title and someone like Kennedy or Carlito can win that.

I'm starting to get the impression that WWE is caught in a catch 22, when it comes to the Flair match. At what point of the night does the match take place? What you do if he loses.
Flair deserves the proper send off. So do you stop Wrestlemanina for like 10 minutes and bring out everybody from backstage to take part in the celebration. The crowd will still be a buzz from the sendoff and it might impact the remaining matches. OR
Does he win at Mania, wrestles on Raw the next night in the main event and then lose. This way more people get to see him off and the spotlight is solely on Flair. Do you also take the risk of running the Flair angle into the ground, if goes past Wrestlemania.

I was thinking the same thing.
When i was reading your post, the thought came to my mind that they have Flair win at Wrestlemaina. Have either Orton retain the belt or have HHH win the belt at Maina. Then have Flair wrestle on Raw in the main event for the WWE Championship against HHH or Orton. Have Flair win the belt and then retire, some promo earlier in the show saying that he will retire no matter what the outcome of the match is. Big celebration after Flair wins, and its is a great moment.
Far fetched yes.
The Downside is-
That if you have HHH win the belt at Maina then lose the belt the next night on Raw it would hinder HHH win at Maina and also his title reign in total.
But say they do go with that plan, they would have Cena, Orton, and HHH at Backlash for the belt. Then HHH wins the belt. Which starts the HHH vs. Cena program that they are going to go with for this summer.
There may be a few kinks in that that might not make sense but

if Flair loses the match, I think the only way to have it would be to have it at the end of the card...actually I think it could close the show regardless. Give him a title shot against whoever wins on Raw, be it Cena/HHH/Orton and have him go out like that. Do any of those 3 need the rub to be able to say, "I was Ric Flair's last match?" No, but I think that's how it could go

Jim Ross On What Match Should Close 'Mania, WWE Hall Of Fame
03/20/2008 by Ryan Clark
Jim Ross has posted his latest blog entry on his official website, talking about what match should close WrestleMania XXIV. Below is the first part of the blog, to read it in its entirety, click the link below:
- Wrestlemania 24 is upon us and with the card finalized, as best I know, what will the line-up be for the WWE’s biggest event of the year? The big question, or is it, is what bout will close the show this year?
- Theoretically, 4 matches would seem to be candidates to go on last, but one has to surmise that only two bouts, the WWE Title Bout or the World’s Heavyweight Title Bout, has any viable shot at occupying the all important show closing spot at WM24.
- In today’s television wrestling world, the match that starts Wrestlemania is also a key selection which is a change from years gone by. In the early days of pay per view wrestling events, the show build slowly throughout the night to the main event’s crescendo. These days that theory is considered outdated which translates that if a main event bout doesn’t go on last it doesn’t mean that attraction is being dissed. If I was making a suggestion on what match opens the show I would suggest the Money in the Bank Ladder Match which might see all 3 announce teams broadcasting the contest as last year which, as the Royal Rumble proved, can be feast or famine.
- The Mayweather vs. Big Show, boxer vs. wrestler (I assume that’s the match format) contest has gotten its fair share of press and one might make an argument to close WM24 with this bout and not put either major title bout on last. This school of thought would be, at best, a long shot, but I will say that the unpredictable nature of how this match will evolve does have my curiosity aroused. This physical mismatch could be a train-wreck, a riot, a "what the hell have I gotten myself into" matter or a little of all the aforementioned schools of thought. I see this match more realistically being held in the second half of the show.
- It is hard to debate that the most emotional match at WM24 will not be the Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels contest where, if Flair loses, then his in ring wrestling career becomes an instant and lasting memory. I still stand by the idea that Flair losing is far from automatic but if Ric does wrestle his last match at WM24 what ever piece of business that follows it will have one helluva chore. From a personal perspective, if this "Naitch-HBK" saga had taken a different turn or two in its build, I could make a better argument for this one to close ‘Mania and, selfishly, I still could, but it won’t happen. Back to what follows this match, one might suggest that it be perhaps the Bunny Mania bout or the 24 man battle royal. On another year, the introduction of the WWE Hall of Famers might fit well after Flair vs. Michaels, but with Ric being the focal point of the WWE Hall of Fame this year that doesn’t seem like a good idea.
Click here for JR's full blog which talks about Undertaker vs. Edge, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, and more.

There doesn't seem to be anything remotely interesting about the WM card...whatsoever...At least last year it was like "well maybe cena will lose the title.

The Flair thing has been done very poorly. The night it was announced and the subsequent Flair/Orton main event later on in the evening was awesome. It was the main event of RAW and Jim Ross put it over as though they were going to shove Orton's title up Flair's ass and then shoot him dead in the middle of the ring if he lost the match.
But then he had boring "feuds" with MVP and Kennedy and decent-at-best matches with them low on the cards at the Rumble and No Way Out. And that killed it dead. At least the angle right now with Michaels is pretty intriguing and cool.
What they should have done was make the angle a big deal on RAW, where every couple weeks or so Flair vs. whoever would be the main event of the show, and JR could be amazing and sell it like it would be the apocalypse if Flair lost.

You bring up really good points that i havent thought about. Your right about the MVP and Kennedy feuds. And your thought about the every other week Flair has to wrestle in the main event that would keep some what of an interest in the storyline.

The biggest part of it being on RAW is that it can be the main event and the focus of the show. MVP vs. Flair or Kennedy vs. Flair can main event RAW. Those matches aren't PPV main quality. But on RAW those can be huge. They'll get big reactions from the crowd and seem special.

Rain and Thunderstorms in the Forecast for WrestleMania 24
Written by: Kyle Faust - March 23rd, 2008
- According to Weather.com, there is a 60% chance of rain with scattered thunderstorms for Orlando, FL on WrestleMania Sunday.
It looks like WWE may have some weather problems for the big show. There was some concern last year when the news broke that WrestleMania would be held at the outdoor Citrus Bowl. At the time, WWE said they had a backup plan incase the weather wasn't too nice.
Either way, it will be an interesting show, to say the least.

60% chance for rain with sct thunderstorms sounds very high for a forecast 7 days out. FWIW - the categories of pops is as follows:
0-14% (0-10%): Nada
15-24% (20%): Slight chance
25-54% (30-50%): Chance
55-74% (60-70%): Likely
75-100% (80-100%): Categorical
They typically don't introduce likely pops in a forecast until day 4 or so. So I'm calling shenanegans on the forecast of 60% chance of rain. Even though the NWS is calling for a dry forecast, the 30% chance pops sounds more reasonable 7 days out than 60%.

yeah, well if it does rain, it says it's gonna rain in the daytime. Wrestlemania starts @ 7:00 on pay per view, which means most likely it starts @ 6:30 or 6:45 live. So, maybe the rain will stop at like 2pm or 3pm, basically just in time for them to start getting ready for the show. And theyre definately gonna have something above the ring like they had @ Wrestlemania IX.

This battle royal tells me two things.
1. With 3 tag team champions in it and teams that could be possibly contenders to said belts, tag team wrestling is officially dead in the WWE.
2. Because battle royal is not being aired on the pay per view broadcast, says what the WWE really thinks of the ECW brand and its probably on life support.

from WWE.com
Mayor of Mania
“We’ve got two words for you… ‘Choose Orlando.’”
It was that line—paraphrased from D-Generation X, of course—that started off the written proposal given by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Central Florida Sports Commissioner John Saboor to Mr. McMahon and WWE executives in an effort to lure WrestleMania XXIV to the most visited tourist destination in the world.
The line, and the top-notch proposal, worked brilliantly as WWE indeed chose O-town to host the Grandest Stage of Them All. Now, more than a year later, the efforts of Mayor Dyer and his team are finally coming to fruition as WrestleMania XXIV rolls into Central Florida.
“Orlando is extremely happy to host an event of this magnitude,” Dyer told WWE.com. “We jumped at the opportunity to make it happen.”
So much so, in fact, that Dyer took the unprecedented step as mayor of flying to WWE corporate headquarters in Stamford, Conn. and lobbying Mr. McMahon face-to-face, supplying letters of support from local businesses and government officials, including former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.
Dyer is also well aware of the economic windfall his city is likely to reap as a result of the WrestleMania XXIV festivities. Last year’s host city, Detroit—hardly a tourist Mecca—raked in an estimated $30 million thanks to the attendance of roughly 80,000 fans. Dyer estimates that Orlando will also benefit to the tune of an estimated $25 million to $30 million in new spending.
“I believe WrestleMania will rival Orlando’s busiest time of year, Bowl-a-Palooza [an annual series of events geared at college football fans],” explained Dyer, who said he’s eager to attend his first WrestleMania. “Actually, I’m excited about this whole week. I’ll be attending several of the WWE promotional events in the days leading up to Sunday.”
The whole city, it seems, is coming down with WrestleMania madness: signs for the event have popped up all over, and the airwaves are abuzz. So enthused are Orlando officials, said Dyer, that an enormous “WrestleMania XXIV” logo has been painted next to one of the tarmacs at the Orlando International Airport, to welcome fans flying in from all over the world.
“I remember growing up and looking forward to [watching] Championship Wrestling from Florida,” recalled Dyer, of the now-defunct wrestling promotion. “We had [announcer] Gordon Solie, Dusty Rhodes, the Brisco brothers and Eddie Graham. Now, I have that same kind of excitement leading up to WrestleMania this Sunday."

WWE Talent Told To Stay Away From TNA Talent, 'Mania
03/27/2008 by Ryan Clark
WWE officials warned talent to stay away from TNA talent during their stay in Orlando this weekend. They do not want their wrestlers seen socializing with guys from TNA. WWE feels that there should be separation between the two organizations and that TNA is piggybacking off of their weekend in Orlando. The WWE AXXESS center is literally only a few feet away from the Soundstage TNA tapes iMPACT! in.
The Orlando hotel in which WWE is situated at has been put on lockdown. Unless you have WWE credentials, security won't let you in the building.
WWE has purchased blocks of rooms for their WrestleMania Travel Package customers at the hotel the TNA wrestlers usually stay at. WWE will be holding autograph sessions with The Miz, John Morrison and Carlito at the hotel over the weekend.
According to former WWE wrestler Damian Demento, who has a friend who has a source in WWE, the company has added his name to the list of fan signs/posters they want security to confiscate from fans when entering the arena. WWE sent out a memo telling people to be on the look out for Damian Demento related signs at live events. A Demento sign was briefly shown on television during the Ric Flair vs. Vince McMahon street fight on Raw two weeks ago. Demento has a new online show called MONDAY NIGHT TAR TAR on YouTube which goes up during Raw. He says he wants to take down WWE and Vince McMahon.

Im not into the Mayweather story line, Yes it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. But the main reason why they are doing that whole storyline is because they know if they do it right Mayweather will bring in those extra PPV buys. From a quality of a match perspective i think it might blow, but in terms of how the WWE has worked that whole angle is really good, and i think that it will bring in some more PPV buys. Also Mayweather has that sort of Charisma, and arrogance that makes him a natural heel, so its good. I think if he was bigger and was able to take more bumps and shit it would be good. In terms on of the match quality im actually looking forward to it because no one really has a clue how the finish of the match will play out.

I'm not. I understand why the WWE is doing it, to bring in the extra PPV buys. I understand why Mayweather is doing it, because he does promote himself outside of the boxing world. However everytime they have promoted it on their television shows, which they have done heavily, I have turned the channel. Im a hard core boxing fan. I just dont buy Mayweathers' act, or that he has charisma. Hes a highly insecure kid trying to hard to be the heel, imo. Ive never found him to say an interesting sentence
Like when i said Charisma i meant it like, he had that natural ability for people to hate him. I think either people like him or just they really dont.

yeah thats true. and hes smart enough to realize playing that factor up is his only chance at being a draw. boxing fans either are his hard core fans that are just infatuated with his talent because in their minds he is greatness in their lifetime, like ray robinson or leonard. Everyone else thinks hes a really confused and insecure little kid who acts the way he acts almost in desperation. he isnt a happy person, despite de la hoya making him about 70 million last year

The only real problem is that Mayweather-Show is heel vs. heel. People HAAAATE Mayweather, and people will root for Big Show no matter how many cruiserweights he destroys. At some point, the WWE should've made an official turn, or at least get some sympathy for Show — maybe had Mayweather pay off the other monster heels (Umaga, Khali, Henry, Big Daddy V) to beat him down.
Maybe it won't be the best WM ever, but it's still the one PPV of the year that I order.

That is a really great idea. That would have made it much more interesting for the storyline if they got the other monster heels involved and also it would have brought a new dynamic into the storyline. They should have done that.

Recap Of Floyd Mayweather On ESPN2 This Morning
03/28/2008 by Ryan Gray
Reader Jeremiah Stone sent the following:
Floyd Mayweather was on ESPN2's Mike and Mike In The Morning and First Take today to plug WrestleMania XXIV. Mayweather said he will have his hands taped, no gloves, for his no holds barred match with Big Show. He also said he has been a wrestling fan since the 80s. He teased saying that he might need his posse to help him win but would not guarantee a win.

Since I'm lazy and don't feel like checking the thread for this info...
From f4wonlin.com:
Matt Sydal has been working with Big Show and Floyd Mayweather of late. He's roughly the same size as Floyd, so he's both helping Floyd learn to do some simple spots and playing the Floyd role with Show so that Floyd can observe exactly what they want him to do. The impression I've gotten is that they're heavily, heavily scripting this match spot for spot with everyone involved. They pretty much have to. I believe Rock and Hogan went down to Florida before Mania in Toronto and did the same thing for their encounter (or at least worked on spots quite a bit in preparation).
They must think high enough of ol' Matty to do this. I really hope we see him and Colt soon enough... maybe with WSX's idea stolen for WWE, as frat brothers. Imagine the hilarity....

Once again somebody on Wackbag making more sense than any of the WWE's writing staff.

WWE Sends Robbie McAllister Home, Floyd/Big Show
03/28/2008 by Tim Brown
-- ProWrestling.net is reporting that WWE’s Robbie McAllister told fans who ran into him in Orlando today that WWE is sending him home and he will not be part of WrestleMania 24. If Robbie is shooting straight with the fans, it can be assumed that this is his punishment for being at the live TNA broadcast last night.
-- Thanks to site reader Doug Fike for sending along the following link to audio from a recent radio show where Big Show & Floyd Mayweather called in and went back and forth at each other in a pretty funny exchange. You can check it out here.
surprise surprise haha
It is unsure what TNA talents will be attending the Hall of Fame ceremony, although Kevin Nash might have bought a ticket. TNA recently discouraged its performers from attending.

Course, no payday too, so oopsie.
Did anyone see the huge ratings Spike TNA did with their huge live boradcast last night? I didn't either. Another 1.0.

Yeah, they pushed it, and apparently had a nice crowd turned away (rudely I've heard) from the live show.
TNA's problems include:
-their booking sucks
-they are stupid
-Their announce team NEVER STOPS SCREAMING!!!
-they have no clue how to build or use their young talent, instead letting older WWE/WCW guys like Angle and (ironically) Nash, Stiener, Sting, and others, dominate the show, while their homegrown (relatively) talent like Styles, Daniels, Joe, etc al, fight over scraps. They let a guy like TOmko, who has turned into a real monster and a crowd fave wallow on Team Angle, so he doesn't overshadow Kurt or his wife. They squash LAX, who were the hottest team in the company a year ago for some reason. They thought it was a good idea for "Bullet Bob" Armstrong to be in a match, that no one cared about to being with. Sorry-I'm rambling.
Their ratings will not go up anytime soon. The same people who have been watching it all along, watched this week. We are called wrestling fans, and we continue to take what we are fed in a desperate attempt to be entertained. TNA is not alone in that I suppose.
*sigh* Maybe it's time to consider NASCAR.

Rules for Big Show vs. Floyd match-
Official Rules For Big Show vs. Mayweather WrestleMania Match
03/29/2008 by Ryan Clark
The following is from WWE.com:
The official rules have just been announced for the battle between Big Show and Floyd “Money” Mayweather at WrestleMania XXIV, though above all else, one fact will be made certain this Sunday night: There MUST be a winner in this match.
The only way one of these two warriors can earn a victory at The Granddaddy of Them All is by pinfall, submission or knockout. Anything goes in this historic match-up between WBC welterweight champion Mayweather, and former WWE, ECW and WCW Champion Big Show.
With Big Show standing 7 feet and 441 pounds " nearly three times the weight of the 5-foot-8, 159-pound Mayweather " not to mention the nearly one-foot difference in arm reach, their physical disparities are more than evident. With no rules, however, this personal rivalry is now anybody’s game for the taking in Orlando’s Citrus Bowl.
The Greatest Fighter in the World is quick to point out that very fact, saying, "Hey, what I do for a living is take risks. This is my idea that anything goes. He can’t beat me at my game, but I can beat him at his."
Big Show sees things much differently than Mayweather -- and not just because he's the World's Largest Athlete. "This guy made the mistake of entering my world in the first place. Now that I have agreed to these wide-open rules, I may just break his back," he said. "This is my world, not his."
Will Big Show use the rules, or lack thereof, to deliver on his promise to end the career of Floyd Mayweather? Or can “Money” cash in on a way to bring down the Big Show in front of 70,000 of our fans? The answer will become clear this Sunday night at WrestleMania XXIV, LIVE and on pay-per-view, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
There is an article on wrestlezone that says "Swerve During Mayweather Match That Will 'Shock The World" im not going to look at it because it will add an element of surprise to there match. but heres the link if anyone wants it--

It doesn't say anything about what the swerve will be. It just says that the swerve will "shock the entire world".
I'm hoping that means that the match ends with them flashing one of those Men In Black flashy memory eraser thingy's so we all forget that match ever took place
