i recently have been having problems with my power supply so i brought it to a technician, they found out that it was a power supply and video card problem. i purchased a new power supply but have not purchased the video card yet. i am looking into the ati all in wonder 9000 pro. my motherboard cant handle the 9700 so that is why i am not able to get that one, does anyone have much knowledge of video cards i've also been pondering looking into another motherboard so i can do some upgrading. any help would be appreciated. i will be using the video card for some gaming, tv encoding and watching, and some editing.

What are your system specs right now? I need some more info before I can really give you good information.
If you want a good video card that doesn't cost a lot go with the ATI 9500 PRO. It performs close to 9700 quality, or depending on when you are going to get a new mobo go with the ATI Raedeon 9600 pro, it has a faster GPU and cost about the same as the 9700 does right now.
If you can swing the cost ATI make an ALL-IN-Wonder card that includes TV-Tuner, Video in and out and a lot of other features with a chip that is good for gaming also.
If you want a great motherboard look into the ABIT IS7 series, it is based on Intel's new Springdale chipset and is very fast, and it doesn't cost a ton of money.
As for a power supply go with at least 350watts either ENERMAX or Antec. The Enermax is considered the best PS out there.
