I can't cook for shit. I'm just not good. So I am forced to be creative with my cooking. I spent a lot of time in front of a hot George Forman Grill or Sandwich Master and my microwave is my best friend.
So I get this idea, how about a thread on how to make easy, but tasty food?
Let me share my latest trick; go buy Ziplock Steamer Bags. They rule.
Put frozen or fresh veggies in the bag, seal, and you have crispy, steamed veggies in a couple minutes.
Get pre-cooked shrimp or shrimp scampy and seal them in the bag. A few minutes later you have shrimp goodness.
Eggs in the microwave? Yup. Just scramble the eggs in a bowl and pour it in.
I also get fancy and such with the eggs. In a separate dish mix two eggs, 1 1/2 tablespoon of a cheese chip dip, some grated cheese, chopped onion, sausage bits or any other veggie or meat you like in omelets. Season to taste. Mix well and pour into the steamer bag. About four minutes later you have fluffy omelet goodness.
So share. I'm hungry and only have about five minutes to make food. ;)

Biv we got any steamer bag omelets back there :icon_mrgr

thanks for the heads up
They rule. The other day I had a sositch patty on the Foreman, eggs in the steamer and once the eggs were done a 15 second zap finished the precooked bacon. Some toast and OJ and I was golden.
sositch and bacon ?
now you're just being cruel

Stir Fry. Got vegetables that are just about to turn? Meat? Just heat up a skillet throw in some oil and mix things around. Add some sort of easy sauce (I don't know them off hand but if you look them up they're easy but not necessary, I rarely use them). Make some Chinese rice noodles or rice and there you go.

But seriously folks...
I like keeping Pasta Roni on hand, especially the Alfredo flavor. In less than 10 minutes and one pot you can have Shrimp Alfredo by throwing a few of them in there.
The Olive Oil & Italian Herb flavor is great when you have leftover chicken the same way.
I also shared this recipe in the "Dip" thread a while back:
Take a peckidge of cream cheese (lite or regular) and mix with Herdez canned salsas. Go red or green depending on your taste. It's best if you use an electric mixer so you can get it really whippy.

Toast yourself two slices of honey wheat bread, buy a couple little asian sauce bowls similar to these http://www.shopjapan.ca/Merchant2/graphics/00000002/TM-201-thm.jpg and then break open an egg in each bowl.
Take a toothpick and pop the yolk so it doesn't explode, sprinkle with a little pepper and salt, place in a microwave for about 40 seconds per egg on high, slap some jelly on your toast and scoop your eggs out of their saucers and onto the toast.
You now have a quick fried egg sandwich without having to mess up a skillet and load up with butter.
I experimented with this combo so I could wake up and make a quick breakfast before my classes in college.

You should really invest in a decent toaster oven for about $30. Much better for reheating stuff like leftover or frozen pizzas, steaks, chicken, whatever. Nuked foods like bread and tortillas seem too chewey and makes meat tough.
They make quick and easy quesadillas too.
I also love making quick and easy garlic bread from sammich rolls from the 99 cent store cut in half. Either mix minced garlic or sprinkle garlic powder with some butter, spread, and top with parmesan and a little paprika and toast.

We got the dry mix in a box. I just pour some into a bowl, add water and mix it up. I just eyeball it. I never measure. At this point I got it nailed as to how much mix I need to make one waffle.
I just came across this - it looks cool as hell. The name alone makes it great:
Batter Blaster (http://www.batterblaster.com/)

It's a new product and they don't have nationwide distribution yet:
At this time, Batter Blaster is available in the following states:
AZ, CA, NV, OR, WA and in Meijer Stores in IL, IN, KY, MI, OH.
I already got a Batter Blaster, but it's not really useful for making breakfast.
El o el!
The video and the theme song is fucking hysterical.

I've got a sandwich maker (http://www.amazon.com/Proctor-Silex-25400-Maker-Sandwich-Toaster/dp/B00004X13E) ... best thing ever. I've made pizza pockets for the boys & popovers at the office.
And if you've got the room for it, invest in a Convection Toaster Oven/Broiler. (http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-TOB-165-Convection-Toaster-Broiler/dp/B00004YNX2) They go for about $150 for a smaller one but it's really worth the $$.

Since I'm on a protein kick... I do use the Foreman grill, but its just as fast and easy to use the broiler to make things like pork chops.
Throw them on the broiler pan, sprinkle some salt & pepper, or other seasoning - Lawry's Perfect Seasoning is awesome. 5 minutes a side and done. Just as fast, if not faster, than throwing a pizza in there. I make a enough for a couple of days, then just nuke the leftover ones to reheat.

You have those who when they go easy still use real food. Their easy is something like eggs or seasoning a chicken and broil it.
Then you have people whose easy is Ramen noodles, Ellios pizza and Waffle-in-a-Can.
Much better for reheating stuff like leftover or frozen pizzas, steaks, chicken, whatever. Nuked foods like bread and tortillas seem too chewey and makes meat tough. I use my toaster a lot more than my microwave, which is most commonly my timer. And toaster oven. I never got those slice-toasters. What if you want a toasted muffin? You're fucked.

The first step is admitting you have a problem. Hell, I don't even own pans. And if I did, no one would want to eat what I made in them. This isn't even a matter of lazy to me, it's matter of necessity. My microwave and George Foreman grill keep me from having to go to McDonalds.

Take large piece of white bread and cut off the crust as close to the crust as possible (going for little waste here).
Pu the bread in the snack/sandwich master and put a dollup of cherry pie filling in the center. Put the top piece of bread on and close. When it's done dribble icing over the top.

My wife made a pasta dish I wasn't very fond of the other day. But then I got wasted and became super hungry and had the best meal of my life. The pasta was almost a macaronni and cheese type dish but with a weird cheese. I put it on potato bread and kinda turned it into a hot dog type thing. Fuck it was good. Actually, I still eat this stuff, and I'm 30. Only thing I changed is that after I cooked the noodles and start adding in the insta-cheese with the milk and butter, I throw in about 4 slices of american cheese with all that stuff. It makes it EXTRA cheesey, and tastes 1000 times better.
Also, ramen meal is a great dish I learned in my early 20's. Cook up the ramen noodles, but mix in a bag of frozen veggies. Drain it when everything is done, and then add in a scrambled egg or two. Top it off with the flavor packet, and maybe some hotsauce, and you're good to go.
