WYSP Renews Eagles Deal, Simulcast on WIP
February 20, 2008

The Philadelphia Eagles broadcast partnership with WYSP will continue with a new deal being inked that will also include a simulcast on CBS Radio sister-station WIP-AM. The two stations will carry the same in-game coverage that has aired on WYSP since it began as the Eagles flagship station sixteen years ago. Each station will have its own unique pre and post game coverage. Merrill Reese and Mike Quick will continue as play by play hosts.

“The fact that we were able to reach an agreement that increases the length and scope of our deal is a testament to the power of the Eagles brand and the support of the passionate fan base,” said CBS Radio Market Manager and 610 WIP-AM General Manager Marc Rayfield. “We are thrilled to be able to expand the game broadcast to 610 WIP and integrate the Eagles across the family of CBS Radio stations in Philadelphia.”

“The CBS Radio group has been an important partner for almost two decades and the way many of our fans were introduced to and follow our team” said Eagles President/COO Joe Banner. “We appreciate all they have done for us over the years and are happy to be extending the partnership further.”

“There was significant competition for these rights and we are happy to be able to extend our long-time partnership with the team,” said WYSP VP/GM David Yadgaroff. “The popularity of the team is unmatched, and we look forward to being the voice of Eagles for many years to come.”

To the delight of Eagles fans that can't stand listening to Fox television commentator and former Dallas Cowboy Troy Aikman, there is a possibility that one of the broadcasts will be set to synch with local television coverage.

The Eagles franchising LJ Smith, annoys the shit out of me. L.J is getting paid Top 5 TE money, but he is not good enough to get paid that kind of money. I would have preferred the Eagles making a run at Dallas Clark, and pay him Top 5 tight end money.

Not a good begining to the offseason...

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson is facing drug possession charges after being arrested in the southern New Jersey town where he lives.

According to Philadelphia-area media outlets, Evesham Township, N.J. police said Patterson, 24, was arrested along with his brother early last Saturday, Feb. 16.

Police said they approached a vehicle that had apparently been in a minor accident and smelled what appeared to be burning marijuana coming from the car. According to police, Patterson and his brother, Tyrone Patterson, 28, were inside the car, and police also found a small quantity of marijuana inside the car.

According to media reports, police arrested and charged Mike Patterson with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. He was later released. Tyrone Patterson, who lives with his younger brother, was charged with resisting arrest and later posted bail.

Mike Patterson, whom the Eagles drafted in 2005 from USC, had 67 tackles, including a career-high four sacks, in 2007.

Just fucking great, the future of our D-Line is getting charged with possession. This off season isn't turning out to be good, so far.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Given the healthy salary cap situations of most teams and the relative scarcity of players who are likely to come available on the open market, Eagles President Joe Banner predicts free agency will be faster moving than in recent years. And given all of the 12:01 a.m. deals we've seen in the past, that is saying something.

Banner addressed Philadelphia reporters Thursday at the NFL's Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and said things are moving quickly around the league. Trade talk between the teams has been brisk, and whether or not those deals eventually are done, the early read is to be ready to dive in quickly.

"There are more trade talks than there have been in a while. There is more value with players under old contracts because the new contracts are going to be so much larger than the old contracts," said Banner. "I don't know how many trades are actually going to happen, but there is more conversation than in the past. The free-agent market is going to be kind of crazy. It's going to be quick. As with every year, a small number of guys are going to get deals and everybody is going to go, 'Wow,' and there are going to be some values either early or late with players who can help you and contribute, but not with names that people necessarily know. It will be a little more furious than usual at the beginning. I think it's likely there will be more trades than usual."

Interesting stuff. The Eagles are in the middle of the pack as far as salary cap room goes, so they have to be judicious with their shopping. Banner and head coach Andy Reid reiterated throughout the day on Thursday that they like the current roster, one that returns 21 of 22 starters from 2007's 8-8 team.

Banner, in town primarily to meet with the agents of current Eagles to discuss potential long-term deals and the state of those affairs, didn't get into anything concrete as far as what the Eagles might do. He said the approach the team plans to take is the same one it always takes: If the Eagles see a player they think can upgrade the roster, at any position, they will do so.

The structure of the free agency period has changed over the years, but Banner is OK with that. He knows the fans are on the edge of their seats.

"This is a fun, exciting but also stressful time," he said. "At this moment, we know what we'd like to do, but we also have no idea of what anybody else's plans are. So it's very exciting, but it's also very nerve-wracking. You hope you can put together enough deals so that the primary goals of your plan are reached."

What is the team's approach?

"Even in the years when we've ended up hardly doing anything, we've always had a fairly-aggressive plan," said Banner. "What's more hopeful than probably I was a month ago is the activity on the trade side. Usually at this point, there is only one way to really improve your team, which is free agency and there were so few free agents. We saw that being a very limiting market. The fact that you have at least two avenues that we may, or may not, pursue, but the fact that other teams may pursue ... just the fact that there are two acive paths to improve your team give you a better chance to make your team better."

Maybe, then, while free-agent signings gain the headlines early after February 29 starts, trades will gather some attention, too. It all makes for a fascinating period, and Banner thinks that there is a group of players that could be traded "within three to five days" after free agency begins, if at all.

Will the Eagles be players for the players? We shall see.

This gives me hope that the Eagles will at least attempt to do something in free agency this, and hopefully improve this team, because the rest of the NFC East is doing all it can to win the division.

Update

The Eagles on Friday signed wide receiver Brandon "Bam" Childress to a two-year contract.

Childress (5-10, 185) was signed by the New England Patriots in 2005 as an undrafted rookie. He spent most of his first two NFL seasons on the Patriots practice squad, including all of last season.

Childress, who played collegiately at Ohio State, has five receptions for 39 yards in three career games.

Ladies and Gentleman Joe Banner, sorry, the amazing Joe Banner is keeping true to his word, and signing free agents left and right. He begins with the signing of Bam Childress. The name doesn't sound familiar? Don't worry you are not the only one , there are maybe 5 people who have heard of the guy.

This is our fucking free agent signing, while the Cowboys pick up Zach Thomas..

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles have cut Jevon Kearse.

The Eagles released the former rookie of the year Thursday. The 31-year-old defensive end failed to live up to the lofty expectations when he signed as a free agent in 2004.

Kearse recorded 3 1/2 sacks in 14 games last season and saw his playing time diminish late in the year. He missed most of the 2006 season with a knee injury.

Early in his career, Kearse was one of the NFL's most feared pass rushers. He had 36 sacks in his first three season. He earned Rookie of the Year honors in 1999.

It was a pretty much an expected move by the Eagles. Kearse was good for one year(2004), but even then he didn't live up to the potential of his contract.

The Eagles brought back two reserve but valuable members of their secondary on Thursday, signing safety J.R. Reed to a one-year deal and cornerback Joselio Hanson to a one-year tender.

Both were scheduled to become restricted free agents on Friday.

Good deals by the Eagles. JR Reed played pretty well in the time he got. He also has the potential to be a good kick returner, so to see him back is a god deal.

Hanson is a decent player, so another good decsion by the Iggles. Even if someone decides to pursue him now, we still get a second round pick.

The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with fullback Thomas Tapeh, who spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles.

We need to start looking for a decent FB. I don't know the details of the contract, but if he got reasonable money, then it was a mistake by the Eagles, to let him go. He was only 28, and he was the guy, that Westbrook had his best year behind.

The NFL free agency sweepstakes is less than 12 hours old, but Comcast SportsNet's Derrick Gunn is reporting that the Eagles already have a deal in place with Patriots free-agent cornerback Asante Samuel.

No formal announcement has been made, but the Eagles' official web site has shut down because it was overloaded with traffic from running a photo of Samuel and an announcement that he will meet with the Philadelphia media this afternoon.

Samuel is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, and he is expected to get a contract somewhere in the neighborhood of the seven-year, $64 million deal that Nate Clements received with the 49ers last year. Giving a free agent that much money would run counter to the way the Eagles usually do things, but Samuel might be too good a player to pass up.

Dear God please let this happen! It has been said before, and I will say it again: The Eagles need a playmaker on defense. Samuel is a playmaker we can use. If the Eagles don't sign, I will be pissed.

Moss listening to other offers (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3271409)

Why isn't Joe Banner on the phone right now talking to Moss' agent? We need an elite WR, and there aren't many WR's, who are more elite than Moss. They should at least make an effort for Moss, only because he is the best WR available right now. The Eagles also need to take in consideration that the Cowboys might make a play at him, and if that happens, I don't care how strong your defense is, you aren't beating the Cowboys.

They need to find a quarterback, but since they aren't looking for one like they should be... I don't expect much.
I don't agree with your opinion on McNabb, but even if I did, simply put there are no good QB's out there in Free Agency land. The best one was Derek Anderson, and he was locked up by the Browns.

McNabb isn't going anywhere and signing Samuel proves it. Like Aizazzle said there aren't any good QB's out there..now if someone called and offered a deal i would think they may entertain it but i t's definitely not something thats active. I think they are ready to give McNabb one last shot and see how he makes out. I don't see Kolb coming out of the gate as a superstar so they put a good team together give the ball to McNabb and see what he does if they suck by mid-season it wouldn't suprise me one bit to see McNabb pulled and Kolb get some play time

Clemons joins Eagles: The Philadelphia Eagles have struck again. One day after signing CB Asante Samuel, they have signed LB/DE Chris Clemons to a five-year contract. The four-year veteran, who had a career-high eight sacks for Oakland last season

I guess Banner was right, the Eagles certainly aren't holding back in signing guys. Another good move by them. Clemons was 10th in the AFC in sacks, and he should help Cole a lot on the other side. The Eagles defense has become vastly improved in the last two days. However, they need to get offensive help to become contenders again.

A source tells the Trenton Times that the Eagles and Cardinals had talks about a trade that would send Larry Fitzgerald to Philadelphia. The source calls Arizona's asking price "absurd."

I'm just shocked that the Eagles even pursued Fitzgerald. It seems like they realize that the Eagles window of oppurtunity is closing, and this is their best oppurtunity to win a Superbowl. Too bad the Cards are being complete cunts about trading Fitzgerald. Hopefully, the Eagles make an attempt at Roy Williams, if this doesn't work out.

The NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Eagles have signed Dan Klecko to a one-year contract.

Klecko has primarily played defensive tackle during his five-year NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots, but the Eagles plan to move him to fullback.

The 5-foot-11, 275-pound Klecko, who is the son of former Jets defensive lineman and Temple great Joe Klecko, was the Patriots’ fourth-round draft pick in 2003. He won two Super Bowl rings with the Patriots and one with the Colts.

Draft Day!

The general consnsus is that Eagles will draft a Offensive Linemen. The only question is: Who is it going to be that the Eagles, or maybe who is going to fall to 19? From what I have heard the Eagles love Jeff Otah from Pitt, and Chris Williams from Vanderbilt, but who knows whether either on of them will fall to 19. There are also reports that eagles might trade up to get Otah....

Then again the Eagles might surprise us yet again, in this draft.

Aaaaaand

Lito is pretty much an ex-Eagle. He went down to to visit the Bucs a few days ago, and the Bucs and him have reached an agreement on an extension with him. The Eagles get a second round pick and a player from the Bucs in return. It's a shame to see Lito go (I'll always remember his picks against the Cowpussies) , but it is a good move on the part of the Eagles, trying to avoid a potential cancerous situation in the Locker Room.

So... after 3.5 hours the Eagles have added Lorenzo Booker?

It actually makes sense. He is a RB who can catch passes out of the backfield. I know nothing about the guy. I'm sure he fits the Andy mold and has character and can catch a screen pass.

The #1 next year is great and all, but with #4 running the team in 09, we won't really be making a run for the title, so I guess will take two OTs next year with our two #1's.

I know they got great value, but it does absolutely nothing for me this year. I wanted some immediate help, so we can amke a run at the Super Bowl this year, with Donnie's last year.

Second they needed a OL, they gave up the most or second most sack in the league, in a division with Giants (Osi, Strahan), Cowboys (Spears) and Redskins (they drafted someone good this year, I think). And so far the Eagles haven't addressed the need for a OL.

With training camp about 4 days away, let's get some Eagles news.

Lito signs everyone's favorite agent, Drew Rosenhaus. I mean at this point we know Lito is pretty pissed off, that he didn't get traded. Hiring Rosenhaus is just an added evidence, since everyone knows how much Andy and the boys hate dealing with him.

Philadelphia Inquirer

Lito Sheppard hires Drew Rosenhaus

History was repeated yesterday when an Eagles player unhappy with his contract fired his agent and replaced him with Drew Rosenhaus.

The player this time is cornerback Lito Sheppard, who missed the Eagles' two-week voluntary camp last month and has made it known that he's unhappy with his contract, which has four years remaining and will pay him a base salary of $2 million this season.

Exactly what this means for Sheppard's immediate future isn't clear. A source close to Sheppard said the cornerback would be there when Eagles veterans are scheduled to report to training camp a week from today at Lehigh University.

The Eagles confirmed that they are aware of Sheppard's decision to dump agent Lamont Smith in favor of Rosenhaus. A league source said the team and the high-profile agent were determined not to have a repeat of the circus that engulfed the franchise in 2005 when former Eagle Terrell Owens got into an incendiary contract dispute that included heated arguments with his teammates and coaches, well-documented sit-ups by the star receiver on his Moorestown driveway, and the eventual dismissal of T.O. from the team.

"We have signed Lito as a new client," Rosenhaus said after a meeting with the Eagles at the NovaCare Complex. "I'm trying to keep somewhat of a low profile. We're going to keep everything real positive. I've had a lot of positive dealings with the team recently. I'm confident that we're going to find a mutually beneficial solution to this situation, and we expect things to move in a positive direction."

Sheppard did not return a phone call last night.

Multiple sources confirmed that Rosenhaus met with vice president of player personnel Howie Roseman. Team president Joe Banner, who is on vacation, took part in the meeting via conference call.

"It was a relatively positive conversation, and the Eagles expect him to be at camp when the vets report next Thursday," a team source said.

While it's certainly a good sign that Sheppard plans to be in training camp and that the situation is not nearly as volatile as the T.O. saga, it remains to be seen how a lot of things are resolved.

It's still entirely possible that the Eagles could deal Sheppard to another team, something they tried to do before the draft in April.

If Sheppard isn't traded, it will be interesting to see who gets the majority of playing time at right cornerback. Head coach Andy Reid is on the record as saying that Asante Samuel is the starting left cornerback, leaving close friends Sheppard and Sheldon Brown competing for playing time at right cornerback.

Defensive coordinator Jim Johnson said last month that Brown would defend the slot receiver when the Eagles have three cornerbacks on the field in their nickel formation. Johnson estimated that the Eagles use three cornerbacks about 65 percent of the time.

Can the three-headed cornerback situation work?

Can the Eagles have a happily-ever-after ending with Rosenhaus as one of the main characters in the story?

Will Sheppard end up elsewhere?

These and plenty of other questions will begin to be answered in the near future.

McNabb is saying his shoulder is at 100%. This can only be good news, knowing this guy's injury history, right? McNabb's health should also benefit from Strahan retiring, and his nightmares should get better, since the Giants D-Line is a little less scarier.

Philadelphia Inquirer

Donovan McNabb said in his most recent blog on yardbarker.com that his "shoulder is fine" and that he's been working out in Phoenix with teammate Brian Dawkins in preparation for the start of training camp.

The Eagles quarterback and some of his teammates, including all rookies, are scheduled to report to Lehigh University on Monday. The first workout will take place a week from today, with the remaining veterans reporting July 24.

McNabb, after providing an encouraging address on the state of Philadelphia sports, said he would be joined by some of his receivers this week.

"I'm feeling great, the shoulder is fine, and I can't wait to get started this season," McNabb said.

McNabb, who's in his 10th season with the Eagles, was shut down during the final week of team workouts last month because of shoulder tendinitis. Coach Andy Reid said at the time that he expected McNabb to be ready for the start of training camp.

Our two top picks (Laws and Jackson) haven't been signed, yet. No need to worry though, only two draft picks from the second round have been signed. My guess is that the Eagles are waiting, so they know the market, and then they sign Jackson and Laws.

DocSavage

I know it is retreading stuff...but getting Laws and Jackson 1 & 2 and then getting two first rounders next year is ok in my eyes for these reasons:

1) we needed depth at DT and Laws is a Qaulity leader type guy.
2) Jackson will be a playmaker and projected into the top ten PTC (prior to charges). I think he will turn many heads and be an impact player right away. He seems to have much better hands then Devin Hester.
3) Getting two first round picks next year will have many of the boo birds cheering Reid again for his brillance. It should be a much better draft class then this one which many believe to be one of the weakest ever.
4) Laws (like Patterson) seems to have a good amount of speed and low quick form that will make blocking inside as much a priority as outside. And in typical Jimmy Johnson mindset, Speed + freshly rotated players in will wreck havok in the backfield.

waa waa waa poor depressed fucking millionaire..you got problems OK depression is a serious issue..but you signed a contract to play football and the organization expescts you to play, if you can not play you are obligated to tell the fuckin team why, sitting at home in silence for 3 weeks is bullshit. All he had to do was talk to Reid or someone in the organization coordinate with his doctors, etc. and this whole issue could have been averted

The Eagles announced Friday the signing of running back Brian Westbrook to a new contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed ...

Finally we see a deal get done. I'm hoping we didn't pay him the $30 million he asked for, but a reasonable amount. It is really nice to see the Eagles get a deal done with Westbrook. Now he can concentrate on the football aspect of the season, instead of disgruntled players.

I'm honestly surprised that we haven't gotten many posts in this thread, especially with all the news surrounding the Iggles. So I will play catch up for everyone.

Let's start off with the actual roster. But first there are those who weren't good enough to make the roster.

Kyle Arrington (CB), Bam Childress (WR), Jed Collins (FB), Jason Davis(FB), Therrian Fontenot (CB), Michael Gasperson (WR), Nick Graham (CB), Jamal Jones (WR), Mike Marquardt (DT), Shaheer McBride (WR), Jerome McDougle (DE), Ryan Moats (RB), Marcus Paschal (S), Montae Reagor (DT), Montae Reagor (DT), Justin Roland (LB), Andy Studebaker (LB), Pago Togafau (LB), Kris Wilson (TE), Scott Young (G)

Here is the roster...

Offense

QB (3) - McNabb, Kolb, Feeley

RB (3) - Westbrook, Buckhalter, Booker

FB (1) - Tony Hunt

WR (6) - Curtis, Brown, Jackson, Avant, Baskett, Lewis

TE (3) - Smith, Celek, Schobel

OL (9)- Runyan, Andrews, Jackson, Herremans, Thomas, Cole, Jean-Gilles, Justice, McGlynn

Defense

DE (6) - Cole, Parker, Smith, Clemons, Howard, Abiamiri

DT (4) - Patterson, Bunkley, Laws, Klecko

LB (6) - Gocong, Bradley, Gaither, Jordan, Mays, Boiman

S (5) - Dawkins, Mikell, Considine, Reed, Demps

CB (4) - Samuel, Brown, Sheppard, Hanson

ST (3) - Akers, Rocca, Dorenbos

DeSean Jackson is the starting WR for the Eagles for this week against the Rams. I don't know if a rookie has ever started for Andy at WR.

A lot of the experts are picking the Iggles to make t to the Superbowl. Honestly I'm surprised that experts are doing it. I think the Eagles are goos enough to make it to the Superbowl. Dr Z from SI did it and now Gene Wojciechowski (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=wojciechowski_gene&id=3565175&sportCat=nfl&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines) from ESPN just picked them, as well.

There is always Drew Rosenhaus to be a distraction for the Eagles. This time he is doing it as Lito's agent. He once again made it to Youtube to say that Lito should be a starter. In the process he offended Sheldon Brown, who took the a couple of shots at Drew. Shepphard continues to show his displeasure, but plans to play. Hopefully, he doesn't become more of a distraction and if he does Andy needs to do something.

Philly loser
09-06-2008, 01:39 PM
No rookie WR has ever started for Andy. Calvin Williams was the last in like 1989 or 90.

Special teams improved a lot with Demps and Jackson doing returns. Sorry Reno. Maybe I'll see you waitering at Chickie & Petes. Seemed like a good guy, but having some speed in the return game will be a nice surprise. Speaking of special teams, or the team in general, why in hell is Greg Lewis still on this team?

WR concerns me. Curtis will be out awhile and probably won't be 100% all year. Reggie Brown has never impressed me and is hurt. I like DeSean Jackson, but having someone with enough talent to take all focus off of him would be great. I think Avant has decent size and hands. So, maybe he and LJ can do enough damage with short middle routes to open up the sidelines or deep routes.

Tony Hunt will be interesting to watch at FB. His blocking might get Donovan or B West killed. I hope he improves in a hurry. I liked him at Penn State and liked the pick when they made it. So far though, not so much.

Jon Runyan must stay healthy.

All-in-all, I am geeked for the game and the start of the season.

(No, I didn't add much, but I wanted to bump the thread)

But Deshaun Jackson's day was all created by Jackson's ability. Even when it looked like he was well defended he made plays. The Eagles finally have a receiver that can compliment Westbrook and open things up for the other receivers and and tight ends. Now if L. J. Smith could just catch.

Well, the Eagles lost in one of the greatest games I have ever seen in my lifetime.

The Eagles didn't do the things they needed to do to win this game. They coudn't get consistent pressure on Romo (when they did he made some boneheaded plays). Jason Witten completely tore the Eagles to shreds, and in the second half they couldn't stop Barber to save their lives. Those were the things they had to accomplish to win this game, and they failed at all three. It was still one of the greatest games of football I have ever seen, but it would have been sweeter if the Eagles had won.

Having said that I have to call out McNabb and and Andy on some HUGE mistakes.

On the last play of the game, Why in God's name are we throwing a ridiculously short pass to Jackson? Can someone please explain to why we did this to save my sanity, please? Is Andy on the same stuff that his sons do, otherwise I can't rationally explain a decision like this.

McNabb made some crucial mistakes, as well. First he missed (high) a wide open Westbrook, and of course the epic fuck up of the botched handoff. Overall, he played a great game, but there still flashes of the Donovan of years prior that we hate.

its hurts even more because they should have won
stupid mistakes and the defense played like shit
if they outplayed us, i could accept it, but there are no moral victories
now they are one up on us in the win column

I don't watch the eagles for entertainment, I watch them to win
I would be happy with a 41 - 0 blowout, or a 9-7 bore-fest, as long as they win the game
entertainment? I will go see yimmy at the ha ha hole

Looking forward to this match up. Hopefully, the Iggles come out with a victory today.

To win this game, the Eagles need to stop the run, especially with Roethlisberger's suspect shoulder. The Eagles did a good job last week of holding the run in the first half, but they couldn't stop Barber to save their lives in the second half. They can't let that happen this week.

They also need to get some serious pressure on Roethlisberger. The Steelers O-Line is more than a little suspect. They gave up up 47 or 49 sacks last year, and they are on pace to give up about 40 of them this year. The Eagles have to take advantage of that, and if they can't take advantage of this O-Line, then we are in for quite a long year.

Of course there is also the supposed kryptonite of the Eagles defense this year: the TE. First game Randy McMichael (yes you read that right) had a good game and then Witten might have turned the tables on the Eagles last week. The Safeties have to stop Heath Miller he is a pretty good TE. B-Dawk came out in the week and said he takes responsibility for his play last week, he better improve his performance this week.

I don't know if Andrews is playing or not, but if he isn't Jean-Gilles better be an improvement than Winston Justice was in his debut last year. If he isn't we might have an early preview of Kolb (for the record I don't want that). The Steelers are going to blitz a lot I think Westbrook has a big day with the Eagles throwing a buch of screen his way.

MRI shows no ligament damage for WestbrookUpdated: September 22, 2008, 2:52 PM EST 121 comments add this RSS blog email Print PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Brian Westbrook limped around without crutches Monday. He could be back to running and slashing this week.

The All-Pro running back is day to day with a strained ankle, encouraging news for a Philadelphia Eagles team that can't afford to lose its top offensive player.

"I'm sure it'll be a race to get him ready for Sunday," coach Andy Reid. "We'll see how he does. I think we can manage it."

Nice, the Birds are in prime time again. Hopefully, we win this time, but I'm not that worried about them losing this one, even without Westbrook (if that is the case).

Kyle Orton is no where near as mobile as Roethlisberger, anf if the Eagles generate even half the pass rush they did last week, then we should have another 9 sack game. Also we need to stop Matt Forte, I'm more than confident that we can do that. We did it to Parker and to a certain extent Marion Barber. Both their O-Line are better than the Bears O-Line, so we should be able to stop them.

On offense the Eagles need to pass and pass some more today. The Bears are ranked 28th in their pass defense. Andy, Marty and Donnie Mac, and even DeSean Jackson should be licking their chops.

I think the Eagles are going to win this one quite handily.

We have no running game
We don't have a back who can block
Andrews is out
This is a tough fucking game
The Bears can pin their ears back and rush the passer every down
Damn... B West makes a huge difference (<---- Captain Obvious statement)

Dear Eagles,

Please score more points now. And have more than the other guys at the end. Then Daddy will probably give us ice cream or something, or at least not be crabby for the rest of the day.

Thanks a lot.
