Ahhhhhhhh......I fucking CRIED. If you are old enought to remember Flair's matches teaming with Tully Blanchard Arn Anderson with and against Barry Windham, Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat and you didn't cry then FUCK YOU! Holy shit that got me, especially seeing Tully come out. Even sadder was that Harley Race needed help coming out. That really puts things in prospective. There wasn't even a horseman in that ring that didn't retire years before.
No joke, if they didn't give Flair a good send off, I was done with wrestling. I'm not joking. I'm 33, and have watched it since I was five and would've never tuned in again if they didn't send him off in style. That fucking gut has entertained me basically my whole life. I'm glad they gave him that moment. I never understood how people ever rooted for Hogan. Every match, every pay per view main event was a given. Hogan comes on strong, stats to take a beating, Hulks up, boot to the face, leg drop..1,2,3 and repeat. No matter who he fought, you knew how it would irritatingly end. Flair on the other hand, you never had a clue. He might cheat to win, get pinned, or even cleanly beat a babyface. It was so unpredictable. It made it fun to watch and root on, without the inevitable groan following the same ending for the last 10 years. The fact that Ric Flair was the draw (loved or hated by the fans) and he was willing to count the lights at made him 10x the man and wrestler Hogan ever was. Truly a fucking icon.

UPDATE via PWINSIDER:
After Raw went off the air, The Undertaker and Vince McMahon came to the ring to pay tribute to Flair. Undertaker got down on one knee before Flair while McMahon raised Flair's arm, then hugged him. Flair called for his family to the ring. He took his coat off, did a strut and dropped an elbow on his coat. Flair thanked everyone, then walked up the aisle shaking hands with everyone as the crowd gave him a standing ovation. Flair got a kiss on the cheek from Stephanie McMahon as he exited. As Flair got to the top of the ramp, all the wrestlers bowed before Flair

OK, I feel like an ass. Still, he should have done it on the air but I guess in front of a hot, packed crowd is good enough.
By the way, if the last segment didn't get at least a 4.0 rating, wrestling is truly fucked for years to come. This folks, is as good as it's going to get.

If I didn't know of your irrational hatred of Taker, then I would have given some credence to your post, but since I know beter, I'm going to assume you are just doing this, because you hate the man.
I knew Taker couldn't be such a douche, I'm glad he came out and honored the Nature Boy. You could criticize Vince and the WWE as much as you want, but Vince has always been great at this kind of stuff. This was one of those moments that everyone of us will tell our kids, once we find a chick who is a combination of mental and somewhat blind.

Vince is really great at these things. He knows how to put on a god damn show.

And i got to watch Ric Flair retire. Truly an amazing night that will live with me forever.

Hopefully this full version will be on the Ultimate Ric Flair Collection II.
Wonderful end to both the show and to Flair's career. I love when my favorite fake sport shows real class. And yes, I got a little misty-eyed too.

I have to seperate last night's Raw into two seperate categories. The last 25 minutes to me is a seperate program and without a doubt was the best televised wrestling show in years.
I'm not going to lie, I screamed like a fucking maniac when the Horseman walked out. When they were saying Flair was giving a farewell address, I did expect Arn and Barry to come out, which I was going to be stoked for. Tully and JJ just put it over the top for me. I even liked the fact that JR said we haven't seen the Horseman together since 1988. Seeing Steamboat and Race was great also. It truly was the best and right way to send Flair off. I thought it might have been cool if Randy Orton could have broke characther and came out with Bastista as Evolution. It would have been cool to see if Taker came out, but I have no problems with him doing it off screen. I had so many emotions last night, it took me a while to go to sleep.
As for Raw.
After seeing the "I'm whore, hear me roar segment", I have realized that without being in ring attire, the WWE divas just seem to blend in and its hard to tell them apart. Also Santino, I give it two months before he is cut from the WWE roster.
I don't mind racial humour, but can we have a joke that 99% of the people watching know the punchline before its delivered. To tell you the truth, I don't know why Crime Time was brought back, but if it means we are going to have a real tag team divison, then I'm all for it.
We all knew it was going to happen when he came back, so I guess we are in for the nightmare known as Big Show vs Khali.
Best Raw crowd in months.
CM Punk vs Jericho, we are in for a great fued.
I'm kind of intrigued to see if and how they pull off Orton vs JBL.

I almost wish they held off on bringing the Horseman out until then end for dramatic effect. I might of been the biggest Arn Anderson fan of all time growing up.
*edit* Now I will be watching IV Horseman videos on youtube for the rest of the day.

He probably went to dinner with Pat Patterson at least once.
I hope that line wan't used already.
Its been twenty years now and I still don't believe that Dusty ever wined and dined with Kings and Queens.
Well, unless you count Jerry Lawler as an actual King.

I don't like the guy, how is that irrational. The guy has been the same borefest for nearly twenty years now. Just a few gimmick tweaks here and there but pretty much everything stays the same. People constantly give Cena shit for his gimmick yet the Undertaker always gets a free pass. Well, you know what, fuck the Undertaker.
He's still a douche for not coming out with everyone else. If it was good enough for the ENTIRE rest of the locker room it should have been good enough for him. Eat a cock, Undertaker.

Nope, no one commented on it really. Good line.

Finally got to watch the best Raw in years.
a) Love that Cryme Tyme is back. Apparently, my 7 month old son loves that they're back, too. I was holding him, bouncing him up and down, saying, "Money, money, yeah, yeah" over and over, and he loved it. Laughed like a maniac.
b) Can't wait for the HBK-Batista feud. Seriously.
c) Santino rules. Said everything that needed to be said about the Divas. Love how he got a great pop from the cowd with it.
d) Great Y2J-CM Punk match, but why in the hell would they kill Punk's buzz with a loss after his biggest win of his career? Didn't make sense to me.
e) Great Orton-Hardy match. But why would they kill Hardy's momentum with a loss?
There's nothing I can add to the Flair ceremony. I really thought they would have somebody come out and beat Flair to a bloody pulp. The ending to Raw was simply amazing.
Can't wait for the WM24 DVD. Can't wait for the new Flair DVD (comes out in July). Hope they put all the retirement stuff on the DVD.
