I hate that... I love live shows because it doesn't HAVE to be a carbon copy of the record. Any musician worth their salt will change it up during a live show. Discs are remastered and mixed to outrageous perfection! LIVE is just that...

I saw fuckin' Genesis on stage the other night (Not live, on TV) and there's like six guys. Even fuckin' bands like Pink Floyd can't play all the music without other musicians like a whole orchestral thing behind them, and as much as I love Floyd, it kinda bothers me that there are all those extra bodies up there.

But even in studio, they do hundreds of overdubs. It would be physically impossible for 4 guys to play the songs credibly.
When I saw the Who in 1990 or so, they had like 12 people on stage. Horns, backup singers, another guitar player...

I saw Flyleaf several years ago in Columbus, OH, they were on tour with Static-X. Loved their performance and talked to all of them (she is short as hell!) after the show and had them sign my CD. They sound really good live (this was in an outdoor venue). Enjoy the show CL!

btw, best live band IMHO is Tool...their Opiate album is my favorite and gives a good idea to a nice raw small venue concert.
