Better then I thought it would be.

Didn't really understand the concept from the commercials, but I enjoyed it.

It's pretty funny. I was hoping for more of a "Back in Black" format from the Daily Show but it was good.

I missed it. Who was on?

Bring back Tough Crowd. These knock-off "let the comics loose" shows aren't nearly as funny or real.

Yeah it had a few punchlines, but that's what it is. It's about punchlines.

This week it was Paul F. Tompkins (Oprah) vs Greg Giraldo (Catholic Church). It looks like Giraldo is back next week based on the promos. It's a good concept, with decent execution (some of it was a bit scripted, but still funny), but I don't see it lasting for too long because it will simply run out of subjects to rag on.

Bring back Tough Crowd!

I liked it.

x2. It seemed "real" for the most part, except when he asked the questions about Oprah being Pope and the Pope hosting a talk show.

I thought it was a bit too scripted. I think Tough Crowd was better, but this show is OK. I like that they didn't really hold back on the subjects (can't wait until they talk about Scientology).

My review is it's not that good and wow did crank the laugh track to 11 (fuck that was loud).

Simply: What's with this courtroom gimmick? Why not just give Lewis a daily show type show?

I thought it was great to watch a white man be able to go off on a black woman without being looked at as a racist and a sexist. Maybe all is not lost.

Too scripted, that or the delivery was too stunted. Lewis Black really is funnier than he was on the 1st show. I hope he does a little change up in the writers to let that through - some of the lines he had to deliver fell flat.

It was ok but I hope and expect it will get better.

Louis Black, it's like....eeeh.. The fucking novelty wore off. I get it, you're so frustrated with the current state of affairs that you yell and shake and are dramatically over-annoyed with everything. I used to like him kind of, now it's just "allriiight, we get it." He's a bore.

HELLO EXACTLY! That's why I can't watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. The god damn audiences are unreal. If John Stewart rolls his eyes or does a baby voice you would swear he crackd the funniest joke those sycophants had ever heard. Same with Colbert. I love Colbert but he's not THAT funny. I will now not be watching Lewis Blacks show for this very reason. Well, that and it wasn't good at all. The only thing worse then the over laughing at jokes on the Daily Show is the "applause" they give every joke by Stewart. We get it, you dont like Bush or republicans but could you please not feel the need to "fit in" with the other douchey liberals and not clap like a seal?

I love Lewis Black.
I watched Root of all Evil: Trump vs. Viagra last night.
I hated it.
1. Way too scripted.
2. Laugh tracks too obvious at non funny lines.
3. Way over produced with wacky camera movements with over the top heavy metal/rock that is out of place.
4. The comedy was pretty tame. There were a few good lines, but they were few and far between.

It's like Lewis had a great idea and then some douchebag lawyers hamstrung the comics to be safe, and to get around this they hired some shithead MTV producers to add wacky effects.
Very disappointed. Won't watch again unless you can convince me that the episode I watched was the exception and not the rule.

That's exactly why I stopped watching TDS and don't bother with TCR...too many liberal sheep in the audience. I can think for myself and don't feel the need to belly laugh and yell "whooooooo" everytime someone makes a tired 'Bush is dumb' joke or similar.
Like someone else pointed out, I can only handle Lewis Black in small doses. His angry guy persona gets old quick with me. OK, you're angry, we get it. Shut the fuck up and enjoy all the money you've made in the country you rip on every week you fat hypocrite.

Bring back Tough Crowd!

QFT!!!!

I liked it although I think Greg Giraldo and Lewis Black could totally bring more to the table comedy wise but I like it either way.
