New Posts Button Problem?

Lately, like the last week or so, when I push the "new posts" button, I'm getting a message that says, "Limit your searches to every 20 seconds. Please try again in 20 seconds." As if somehow I am pushing the button twice in a millisecond. So I hit the back button in Firefox, and it brings me back to the thread I was viewing when I pushed New Posts. Is this something wrong on the server, or am I just retarded in some way shape or form?
