alright...I have AOL...my friend has a SN on my account but the thing is with AOL we both cant be logged in at teh same time (me at my house him at his house)

I have AIM, and internet explorer as well but i cant use them unless I am on AOL...is there any way around this?

like, is there a way that if one of us is on AOL the other can go on AIM without having to sign onto AOL and also use explorer to surf the web without being on AOL?

Either pay for more simulataneous accounts with AOL, or order a second dial-up ISP.

If you want you can search for FREE ISP's there are a couple with services that aren't that bad.

I used www.freeisp.com and it worked quite well.

Or tell your friend to stop using your account.

If you use a differnet ISP then you can use AIM. Or like pooter said pay AOL for multiple account on at the same time.

My real suggestion is to get rid of AOL all together because they are the worst but if it works then use it.

There are free isps like I said. You can use all yoru messenger programs. I have used AIM for years with never being a AOL member.

They both offer like 10 hours a month of free internet service, so you and/or your friend can log on and both use AIM. Or check the freeisp site above.

No other way around it. If you want to use AIM, you have to be somehow connected to the internet.
