Suggestions for keeping Ron more entertained?

In off hand comments he might not have of realized has said his current crew is not keeping him intellectually stimulated.

Reasons Why and maybe go with 3.

1. Dave

2. They don't disagree with Ron. I would disagree sometimes.

3. Topics that Ron doesnt have to think up off the top of his head daily.
Fez seems to do great when he knows whats going on the next day too.

I think part of it also might be that with Fez being in the state he's in, Fez's health matters more to him than the show.

How about a thread with suggestions for keeping us more entertained? That interview segment was exceptionally painful to listen to. Fez had a couple of good lines but then it just went on and on. Thank god baseball is back.

I think that is a good point that there is no one on the staff who can give him a good intellectual debate. Everyone either agrees with him or else Dave says something so offbase that it is not even worth a debate.

Ron makes some comments at times about ending the show...he has to be getting burned out by not having Fez participate and being surrounded by a completely incompetent staff. It really does not seem like the show is heading in any direction at all...just kinda killing time everyday.

You're right, we should be ashamed. Ron knows everything about everything. What he says goes unless we're carnies and rubes for believing him. For us to dare offer our thoughts or opinions on this radio show clearly means we're assholes.

ron has a fairly unique talent/perspective in knowing just enough about most topics to argue any side of them, for whatever makes good radio. the stuff he doesn't know enough about, he comes out of left field and makes even better radio. he needs a foil who can do something similar (taking the opposite side, and pushing just enough to make it interesting), but also know when to shut up and not step on laugh lines. fez used to be the comic foil for ron's straight man (no homo!) routine but he's not able to step up in that way anymore... less so since dave has taken such a prominent role on the show.

maybe lilly is the one to take the role. she's smart, witty, and quick on her feet.

I know Ronnie's said he's trying ot get Lilly her own gig and all that, but I think no one is better suited to be third mic on R&F than her. I'd love to see Dave go to O&A, see Fezzy come back to form and have Lilly step into third mic. First of all, neither Earl nor Pitz could possibly do it, they both bring absolutely nothing to the mic. Second, Lilly has demonstrated time and again that she'll be pretty forthcoming about herself, she's not going to avoid discussing certain topics, she won't "tsk tsk" Ron for working blue and, most of all, she's able to stay with a bit. It would have the opposite effect of most holes on radio, it'll actually perk Ronnie up given his admiration of feminine sensibilities.
