Something happened on yesterdays show? Wanna fill me in?
Something happened on yesterdays show? Wanna fill me in?
Ron has pulled the curtain back before to emphasize how much he likes Earl as a friend, outside of the show, but at the same time, there must be a lot of shit that goes down behind the scenes with Earl and the show which fucking pisses Ron off. I remember a while back he was yelling at Earl and made some sort of reference to "you don't even want me to bring up about last night".

I think it's because of yesterday's Lewis Black unmasked taping. Ron thought it went well, but I guess because of some technical issues it didn't, so Ron's pissed at the staff. I missed the first 20 or so minutes though so if I'm wrong correct me.

Correct...The show started with Fezzy being pissed off at the entire staff....but Earl was at the top of the list. At the Taping of Unmasked, Earl was nowhere to be found until the event was almost over...and Fez had to stop Earl from taking some 8 year old to ask Lewis Black A question.

Earl also pooch fucked the last Unmasked even worse, when he had those tickets to hand out and didn't.
I have never heard one positive thing about Earl with regard to Unmasked.

In all fairness, he was in a great mood until the Unmasked meeting took place on the show. Then he got mad, and then he was fine, he let it out. Which is a good way to handle anger, get it out there and let it go, don't hang onto it like Fez or you'll end up with stents.

welcome and I'm sorry. You missed some good times.
But, much like politics, nothing will ever change. You'll have people (no offense) saying "See! Ron is fed up! He'll fix things now!" I admit to being one of those people. But go through the forum.
"Dave slammed pizza in Fez's face and is fake crying about it! He's sure in for it now!"
"Earl stormed out of the studio again! I don't think he has long to last on this show."
"You can tell Ron's getting really angry. Without question changes are coming to the staff sooner than later."
And here we are.

This is the one thing that drives me absolutely nuts about both Ron and Fez. They will spend a portion of every show yelling and bitching at their worthless staff. However, since neither of them have the balls to fire Pits, Earl or even reprimand Dave then why would either of them think that they are going to change at all? I have long stopped getting annoyed at their staff b/c of their fuckups because it has been established that Earl, Pits and Dave to an extent are worthless and only care about holding onto a job instead of actually working at their job. RnF want to cry about it everyday, but until they actually do something about the direction of their show...then it is all hot air.

To be fair, the yelling at the staff, mainly Earl, is probably my favorite part of the show now. I'd love for it to go back to what it was with a happy Fez, but if that's not gonna happen, then I don't mind that. There's something about the way that Earl takes criticism or the way that he constantly defects and then everyone gangs up on him that I love.

I have to disagree, it is the least entertaining thing to listen to. In fact between that, the pseudo-celebrities, the exploits of someone acting out their homo-erotic fantasies on another show, and other things, its getting harder to tune out all the shit and listen to a good radio show.

Have you listened to the show for long?
They have showed you the folks behind the curtain so often.
Wrestling.
Listen to the WNEW shows and how they treated Al Dukes and Billy Staples. Heels and Faces.
I think the only problem with Earl is that he does not step up and put himself out there. If he did bring Opie a pinball machine and allowed Opie to smash it with a sledgehammer - then it would be better radio.
Dave is better than Earl because Dave plays a fuckup that they can play off. Earl is a sponge who gives little back.

So what's the point of the con? To get all of their listeners so sick of Earl and company fucking up, and Fez being such a goddamned mental trainwreck crybaby that they tune out of the show permanently?
FUCK MAN THAT'S BRILLIANT.
We're all such stupid rubes. What the fuck is wrong with us for thinking that the show becoming unlistenable due to the idiosyncrasies of its staff and the mental illness of its co-host was a shoot and not a work. Thanks for clearing that up.

It's Carneyville when people don't agree with what Ron says. It's not Carneyville when people do agree with what Ron says.
For example.
People were outraged when we dare thought that that idiot's engagement was real. Yet, if R+F was completely Carneyville, then that would be false.

Shit man, I think Dave's fucking hilarious, but I'd shitcan him to get back to when the show was less goddamn tedious than it is now. Back when Ron didn't act like he was above everything on earth and Fez wasn't having Katherine Hepburn breakdowns every five minutes. I'd take Staples or Dukes back at this point.
