I'm going camping this weekend. We usually just do burgers, dogs, bagels, granola bars, and then chips and cookies (along with plenty of beer). Stupid shit like that.
Any campers do anything food-wise that's not too much of a hassle but is outside the norm?

You pretty much covered it all man. Maybe some chicken breast too, if you trust yourself cooking it on an open fire if that's your plan.

we packed a container of chili one time along with tortillas and grated cheese. heated the chili up and slapped in the tortillas with the cheese....no bowl needed.
Another time we had made breakfast burritos in advance (eggs, cheese, meat, peppers & onions) wrapped them in tinfoil and froze them. In the morning you can just stick them right in the campfire coals to cook them up.
Now I'm getting hungry!

Take some bananas and split them lengthwise on one side then cram it full of chocolate and marshmallows and then wrap them in tin foil and toss on the grill till they are all full of melted goodness.

pre cook as much as possible and pack it all in foil that can just be tossed away, years ago i decided that its never worth it trying to actually cook while camping maybe other than eggs and shit besides cooked food has less of a tendency to spoil.

Did spagehtti and sauce one time camping. Beans, roasts. Anything that you can cook in a cast iron skillet or dutch oven can be done. Biscuits!

American ingenuity right here! It was a little windy in Utah last weekend, but we did catch some fish. Cooked beer brats, sauteed onions, and the next night, it was pork loin, cut up in a foil pack with onions and garlic. Good easy grub.

if we had a large group we would hit up a seafood place and bring back bags of crabs
other than that it was pretty normal. pancakes, potatoes, bacon, burgers, dogs, sausages, chicken.
and of course beer
