Been making these for the last couple of years, makes some great 6oz burgers.

3lbs ground lamb
2lbs ground beef (90% lean)
(occasionally I'll have my butcher shop custom grind these together for me)
1 small diced onion
4 tblsp Garlic Salt (per taste)
1/4 cup or less Tabasco Sauce or similar hot sauce
1/8th cup Parsley
1/8th cup Mint
4 tblsp Onion Powder (per taste)

Dice the onion as small as possible, mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Pat out about 12 to 13, 4 to 5 oz burgers. Delicious.

Holy shit I'm hungry now. How noticeable is the tabasco after you've cooked the burgers? I like a bit of background heat but not too much.

it's not very noticable, if anything it's kind of a background heat, but evensome family members who hate hot stuff like that have not complained about it.

What the fuck is a "bruger"?

In all seriousness, that does sound damn good.

The wife and I use a similiar recipe but it's all lamb and has feta in it to keep the meat moist.

The wife and I use a similiar recipe but it's all lamb and has feta in it to keep the meat moist. Did it with just lamb meat last night (because I had ground lamb) and the feta and hot sauce and the herbs, really, really nice.

America eats less lamb per person than any other nation, it's actually better for you than beef, it's often leaner

D'oh, missed that

never had a problem with keeping the juices in, had two for dinner monday night, medium rare, juices were flowing like crazy

Did it with just lamb meat last night (because I had ground lamb) and the feta and hot sauce and the herbs, really, really nice.
