I've Finally entered the 21st Century

I finally got the Optimum triple play hooked up, live it an apartment so satellite dish is out & Verizon FIOS not available. High speed internet connection, no more dial up (geez that sucked), & can now get HD channels.

Hooked up Saturday morning, cable box goes out Saturday evening; thank you Cablevision. So now I just waste my Sunday waiting for the tech to show up with the new box. At least I can now get tremendous amounts of porn in a fraction of the time.

Seriously, your the first person I've heard of having dial-up in about 5 years. The cable box thing isn't a suprise, my DVR fried 2 times before we landed a good one (and that one is on the frits now) the asshole at Cablevision tried to tell me it was my HDMI cable, which it wasn't.

I usually did what I had to do online at work, if I did anything at home I just let it run & came back to it when it was ready.

The tech finally showed up at around 3 o'clock, but he didn't have a box to replace the fried one. This is after the appointment was setup to replace the fried box. So he had to get in touch with another truck in the area to see if they had any extra boxes. Apparently many of their HD boxes suck. At least the new one I got is a different model & working smoother than the first one.

my old lady's mom has dial up and so does her sister and bro-in-law. they're cheap though.

Alot of the HD boxes are refurbs. Whoever is doing their refurbs should be ass***ed. Seeing your from Parsippany and I'm from Rockaway, our boxes are coming from the same office, so I'm really not suprised.
