For those of you who play pool with a cue that has a linen wrap --
Does the wrap ever chafe your grip hand? I hold the cue in the back with a pretty loose grip, so as I'm stroking, the wrap rubs against a spot on my hand right below the index finger on the side and it has created a bit of a sore spot. The thing is, I like the overall feel of the linen wrap in my hand.

If you play often enough you'll just develop a callus and it won't hurt anymore

I have not had this issue, and I would think it is because I do not hold it too loose. The grip is great though.
I need a new cue real soon, I just want a new one.

Yeah I play really often (at least 3 times a week). It seems as though a callus is developing, but I have really sensitive chick skin, so it still kind of hurts.
Speaking of getting a new cue.. I am in the market for a new shaft. I want a Predator 314 to go on my McDermott.

Must...resist...urge...
Wow, that was tough.
I would get a good hand lotion and use it frequently or wear a glove without fingertips like workout gloves.

Which one do you have? I am looking for a new cue, do you recommend McDermott? I kinda like Cuetec.

Check out Joss cues too.
I was looking at cues a couple of years back ( it sucks because there are few retail places to go to handle them) and chose a Joss...something like this.

It's a sweet hitting stick and is much better than I am...also, if any of you guys live on the island and want to play, hit me up....I'd really like to get back into playing.
