Yes...I'm a bigger Disney fag than Ant.
Going back in October and I can't wait....LOVE the food and wine festival at Epcot. Got absolutely trashed at the beer tastings at Rose and Crown and the American pavilion Sam Adams seminar.
Anyone?
BTW, we're staying at The Boardwalk this year, first time....anyone been there?

I may PM you. The wife and I love hitting EPCOT for this. We usually like to have season passes primarily for the food and wine festival. EPCOT is my extent of international travel.

By all means.

Could not agree more.

I too would love to get there for F&WF, think 2009 is going to be best bet.
We did spring break last month, six nights at Fort Wilderness in tents with the three kids, and had an amazing time.
We only spent Easter afternoon at Epcot and saw just Future World and the Flower and Garden...wish we had spent more time there, but with DS(10), DS(8), and DD (6)...MK is almost mandatory everyday...well, it doesn't help that thats where I want to be as well.
I will say this, AK is just not appealing to us...we probably wont go there again...rather spend our time at the other three parks.
BTW...if you're a true DisFreak... www.wdwmagic.com and www.disboards.com ... I hit them as much as I do Wackbag.
Can't wait to get back again.

I just got back from disney 2 weeks ago. We stayed at Old Key West.
The Boardwalk is my favorite place to stay down there. We've stayed there like 3 or 4 times. I found it more convienient you only need to take a bus to the water parks, MK, or AK. You take a boat to MGM and Epcot. There's also a things going on through out the night if you don't want to go to a park there Boardwalk entertainers, games, and a couple bars. The ESPN club is cool if you like sports bars. There's also a piano bar that I heard is pretty cool I think it is called Jellyrolls or somthing like that.
I have a couple good restaurants to check out if you want.

Good Luck Bro, the busiest it's ever been at Disney World ever was in Fall season last year.

The Boardwalk rules. Be sure to check out Jellyroll's one night - probably the most fun grownups only place to hang out @ Disney World since they started decimating Pleasure Island about 5 years ago.

Thats cause of the free dining plan they offer @ that time.

We always go in October (early to mid) and have never had a problem with crowds. Longest wait was like 15-20 minutes, most are 5-10, some ZERO. I think it picks up more in November, closer to Thanksgiving through Christmas.
We usually stay at POFQ but, got a sick deal from Disney (40% off hotel and park hopper pass) so figured we would treat ourselves to The Boardwalk. The only thing that concerns me is breakfast, I heard the only place at the Boardwalk to have breakfast is at the bakery and it gets crowded. I guess we could always walk over to the Yacht/Beach club for breakfast though.
That and smoking (I smoke, yes). POFQ has no hallways...rooms are "outside" so I can just pop the door open and grab a smoke. Boardwalk rooms are inside and I hear that some are a hike from the lobby.

We were there on Oct 1st when they celebrated the 25th anniv.
The park was jammed for that day and after that the place was
empty. I love going at that time of the year.

PORS or Dixie Landings as it was known before the pedophile incident a few years back is set up pretty much the same way, they need fix the dining. We got the meal plan which more than worth it with the two snacks and two meals each day. Only downside was it was the week of Thanksgiving and it averaged 4-5 rides a day so next time i go it'll be in mid January when they say they are the least busiest.

My girl and I are going in September, she has one of those vacation club things there. She is really excited about going back there, and I have to admit, I'm kinda interested in seeing what all the hoopla is about too. She's the ultimate disney freak, and has been trying to convert me to the religion of the mouse. :)

I second JellyRolls. I had a blast both times I went.
I'm pretty sure Steve & I are heading down for the F&WF. We're just working out details, like when we're going, for how long, and where to stay. His friend recommended the Boardwalk, but DAMN it's expensive if you pay full price.

The wife and I got married at the Grand Floridian wedding pavilion 2 years ago, we're Disney freaks too. Epcot is so damn fun, we had our rehersal dinner at Italy Isola right on the water with the fireworks right in front of us, it was sick. After, we walked around and got shitfaced, it was the extra hours night, open late.
But while we're on the topic of Disney food, a must try is the alfredo at Alfredo's in Italy. We had a great dinner there as well as at the Bistro in France.
