I searched and didn't see it.
Wing are a personal thing. I've seen drunken backyard brawls over whose wings were better. Personally I like a dryer, more flavorful wing, Rosemary/Garlic, Garlic/Herb, a Spicy/Sweet. Just enough sauce to cover it but not a bath. Deep fry or grill? Oven roasted or pan tossed? I can't stand a sloppy wing. I know I'll drive 20 miles just to get the peticular wing I want.
Post your recipies boys!!

I like my wings pretty sauced up. My favorite are from a local place near me. I really don't have a recipe of my own.

Hooters wings used to be pretty good. Lately, they haven't been. I think it's because they really don't cook them right. I've gotten their buffalo strips (basically boneless wings) instead latrely, and they are better than the wings - at least around here.

We have a place called Buffalo Wild Wings here in the great wasteland of the eastern IA... and it's really good; some of them are really tasty sauce-wise and others are horrid.
We're also getting some kinda Scottish-themed version of "Hooters" soon as well... we'll see if that's any good. I don't know how well they're gonna do, their building is right next to the second BW2.

None of those BW2 places around here yet. I saw one in Middletown, DE once when I was working down there. It seemed to be popular with the locals.

I usually just use minced garilc, from the jar or freshly chopped. Add to sauce pan with your favorite hot sauce and butter. Heat on low simmer until the butter is completely melted and incorporated into the sauce. Toss in a bowl with the wings.
Also agree with hypes, Buffalo Wild Wings is a great place for wings.

Quaker Steak and Lube - more gooder wings
BW's second best bet can depend on where your at.- here in MN wings are tiny and not much meat
I like a meaty sloppy wing where you can taste the sauce and taste the chicken.

season the wings w/ salt, pepper, cayanne, & chili powder (if you feel like it). Marinate in italian dressing for a couple hours (if not more). Bake in an oven, 450 for 20 minutes.
take them out, toss em on the grill for about 5-10 minutes to get that nice grilled flavor. Hot sauce varies, Franks is always a winner, but I like trying various sauces. Last sauce I used was Chubb's Wing Sauce...stuff's very nice and HOT cause it primarily uses Habanero. Stick of butter + hot sauce = better coating and if the sauce is too hot, it cuts the spice

My chicks... she eggs them... dips in flour and fries them in oil (in a cast iron pan). Then takes a paper bag dumps some Wing-it sauce (http://www.wingit.com/) then the wings in hot. Then shakes... the bag does two things evenly coats the wings with sauce and adsorbs some of the residual oil.

Oh forgot to add... the flour has to be spiced with salt and pepper, garlic powder and old bay seasoning...

Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant is a great place for wingy, the closest one to me is in the Palasades Mall across from Dave & Busters. Me and the wife were there a couple days ago and ate the regular hot sauce wings and the carribian jerk wings. Both great. They also have 20 beers on tap with great happy hour specials, huge tv's and video hold'em and trivia, a cool place to just hang.
In the west village theres a place called Down the Hatch, $20. for all the wings u can eat and 3 pitchers of beer. They serve Atomic Wings, my favorite by far. Fooseball table, and games on tv for entertainment, oh and it's right by NYU soooooo...

Im from Buffalo and have the original recipie
Franks Hot sauce to taste
Dash celery powder
Dash garlic powder
Shake it up in a bowl
And here is the secret...add a few tablespoons of butter at the end...if you mix it with the sauce before it forms a grease barrier on the wings and the hot sauce wont absorb into the wing....also fry the wings crisp or they will soak in the sauce and turn to mush

These take some prep time but is worth the wait.
Take 2 lbs. of chicken wings and seperate into two pieces just like you find in a restaraunt.
Take a ziploc gallon size storage bag and pour in 1.5 cups of flour, .5 cup of corn starch, 2 Tbs each of : garlic powder, onion powder, and ground cayenne pepper. Add 2 tsp each of : salt, and black pepper. Add your prepared chicken wings to the bag and shake til well coated. Now take the pieces of chicken and place into a clean ziploc bag and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. They get very sticky which is important because your going to dredge them back into the same dry mix you made earlier you'll probably have to make another batch since you'll probably use most of the first batch. Carefully place the coated chicken into hot oil (350-375 F) use a fry/candy thermometer to check temps because too low of a temp is bad too high is just as bad. Fry for approx 10 -12 minutes in small batches around 7 to 10 pcs. at a time. Let them drain on cookie racks with newspaper to catch any drippings under the cookie racks. This is important because if you just place them on paper towels or newspaper alone the wings will sit in oil not a good thing. Once done frying all the chicken prepare a fry pan with one stick of butter and add as much Franks hot sauce as you want approx. 1-2 cups worth. I add about a tsp. or two of tabasco to kick it up. Add your chicken to the sauce and toss till well coated and serve. Enjoy the feast. These will be the best wings you'll ever eat I promise.

all I really do is put BBQ sauce all over them and put them in the oven at 350 degrees for a couple hours.

what's the address of that place? I wanna check it out one day.
I've never tried to make my own. I go to Jet City Pizza and get their spicy chicken wings and then take them home and let them set. Once they cool off I reheat them in the microwave. That way the sauce is now sticky instead of runny. Must be served with blue cheese dressing.
And there is nothing worse than a sweet sauce on a wing.

Finally see some Buffalo people posting in here.
Look, if you live more than an hour's drive from Buffalo you have no idea who has the "ultimate" wings.
That being said - I like Duff's. Anchor Bar's are one of the few things that lives up to the hype, I just like something about Duff's a little better. I think they're crispier without being burnt.
Jeremiah's in Rochester has some pretty great ones, too. Best in Rochester at least.

I like those "Daytona" style they have, other than that their breading and service generally suck. Beer sports and chix are good, but the Daytona is the only wing worth going for and their quesadilla(sp?)

I got this recipe from a guy that used to work at a video poker bar that I used to stop at in Vegas.
You have to like it hot to enjoy...
He took Franks sauce and added Tapatio to it. He then through crushed red chilis (not too much) and roasted minced garlic into the bowl and let it sit for hours so the chilis get soft and the sauce absorbs the heat/flavor of the garlic too.
He then grilled the wings and seasoned with celery salt, sage, onion powder, chili powder, and pepper.
After they were done, he just tossed them in the bowl of sauce and served. It takes a lot of work to grill wings unless you're on a commercial grade grill, but I tried the same recipe just baking the wings first and it was awesome.
The minced garlic adds a nice texture to it.
