never done it, but I have put ketchup on burgers while they're cooking. I can't remember weather it was any good or not.

its not awful.just use a Brillo pad an soap.i want some now but all i have in my house is beer, pancake mix,jim beam and gin....:icon_eek:

The only time that I've seen this being done was to make a sauce for some thai food. The ketchup was fried in a wok with sesame oil, ginger, lemongrass, garlic. Then used on chicken wings. Looked interesting, like a bright red glaze.
Never on a steak even a crappy one. I also never eat ketchup plain. I always add something.
