I don't think that I would try ortolan. I don't like the thought of my mouth getting cut up delibrately.

duck embryos. My roommate brought some home one day... disgusting.
Then he put them in the fridge to eat later... forgot about them and 3 days later we had the worst smell EVER come out of our fridge.

I'm the same way with raw tomatoes. Its not really about the taste, its more about the texture and the fact that most places never have or serve decent looking tomatoes.

Olives, any kind or any form, except the oil. I use olive oil for almost everyoil application in cooking.

Yeah, I'm noy real big on fish. I'll do some really good tuna or a well prepped
piece of shark but that's about it. Love shellfish though, especially Stone Crabs.

And I'm not talking anything super fancy but something like a sandwich from a small place with just crisp, fresh vegetables, a light dressing on fresh baked bread- no meat, no trimmings. Then try to go to Subways or Quiznos? Even if you're ordering a meat-based sandwich the taste of those bagged salad vegetables topping your barely passable pre-sliced meat is enough to make you nauseous.
