Should Fez keep his cat Skippy?

I say NO. I have a cat that has a problem of not shitting in the litter box at time. Due to old age his mind is going. But I love my cat and I would miss him madly; so I put up with the problems.

Fez on the other hand is having problems with his cat, but hates Skippy. If an older cat has problems, it's rarely going to change. So it's up to Fez to put up with the problem cat or give it away. I hope he kept the receipt.

I like dogs over cat, but I think a dog would be a little too high maintenance for Fez. I mean what is going to happen if the dog has to go for a walk, when the sun sets.

The cat probably is unhappy cuz she can sense that she isnt really loved or wanted, and maybe never was. And the benefits of having a pet come from what you give to her, more than what the pet will give to you.

Fez obviously liked the idea of a cat at one point, so I say give it a shot making Skippy feel more wanted before sending her to the gallows. Make it a challenge to see if he can turn Skippy around.

Start with not calling the cat "it" or "the thing", and switch to "her" and "Skippy". Better yet, change her to something less dog-like and less boy like.

Oddly enough I posted to Fez that he should keep the cat on .NET before yesterday's show aired. I was pleased to hear the show agreed with me.

It seems like Fez is confusing the idea of being assertive in his life with taking the easy way out.

If you love or hate animals, it doesn't matter. The whole point is Fez decided to introduce something into his life that gives him responsibility and perspective. So now that he's not satisfied, he blames the cat instead of himself. He doesn't see that he has done nothing to fix the problems he complained about and just expects the cat to be perfect.

I'm glad he's going to keep it because it is a real world challenge for him. Once he owns this problem, he'll be a better human for it.

I think he should get rid of it only because he wants to. It sounded like he is only keeping the cat because Ron and his team of bobblehead dolls told him he should keep it. I thought it was good that he was gonna make some kind of decision for himself. I still think he'll end up getting rid of it soon because he really doesnt want the stupid thing.

You are probably right about that, but then he should really get a puppy. At least with a dog he can get a much more emotional bond because its not so solitary and would depend on him a little more. I also think you can see the evidence of your training work so much more with a dog than a cat.

But I guess realistically, he has a cat that he hates, so he would never get a puppy. And they might not let him have one in his retard island apartment.

It reminds me of Fez and pills, except this time the pills has a pulse. Fez tries new pills expecting them to totally change his entire life and fix him. They don't do that. He and quits taking them.

and it's not like we don't know how to 'raise'/train cats...

I was able to 'tame' the feral cat we have...
(still not the friendliest.. but you can live with her)

You can't ask someone who has trouble 'taming' himself,

Couldn't agree more. I've known many people that have had to get rid of pets in the past for various reasons. They've all gone through the effort of finding them a new home. Fez should do the same, and with the radio show at his disposal it shouldn't take long at all.

I say get rid of the cat and get akitten. I HATED cats for the longest time. I was always a dog person. then we got a kitten that bonded to me.
