They brought this up on the pre-recorded show so I'll post it and ask. What are some great portrayals of relationships in film and television. And more "real" than just epic romances is what they were going for.

1) Dexter and Rita. I think there's something oddly real about them in how two unhealthy people can form a legit, co-dependent relationship. (As opposed to the Dexter Lilah relationship which is the relationship any guy wants.)

2) Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet in Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind. A good example of how we idolize the person we love in our own minds even if that image doesn't really match up what's actually there.

I thought only film students watched this movie. I'm no film student, so I've never seen it. Interesting concept though.

Homer and Marge. She forgives him every time he destroys the house.

Lois is pretty tolerant of Peter's antics too. It was no picnic for her when he wished his bones away.

For me, Roseanne and Dan were pretty close to my experience.

My next door neighbors were Red and Kitty Foreman.
