CITRA, Fla. -- A Central Florida man was arrested on suspicion of ****** his granddaughter at a church graveyard.Obie Robinson, 63, was arrested on a charge of domestic sexual battery.

According to Marion County sheriff’s deputies, Robinson’s granddaughter asked him for a ride from her boyfriend’s house. He picked her up and drove to the graveyard of a church under construction in Citra, deputies said.

The girl told deputies that her grandfather asked if she would have sex, and she said no.

Robinson pulled her out of the vehicle and said he was going to “do it anyway” and forced her to have sex, deputies said.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies said Robinson told his granddaughter on the drive home that “he needed her help to stop.”

An investigation showed that Robinson had been sexually assaulting his granddaughter since she was 7 years old, deputies said.

Capital punishment...It shouldn't be just for murder.

No need to waste any more good air on him.

Unfortunately, the Supreme Court ruled otherwise regarding run-of-the-mill ****. Waiting on the results of the current court case regarding child **** that's before the Supreme Court, though. I don't think Florida has a child **** death penalty law on the books, so this fucker is just going to go in for the usual 20-30 years. Not that he'll outlive that sentence anyway, at his age.

Florida has a law that permits the death penalty for child ****. But there's specificrequirements for it. Louisiana has the catch-all kill-em law.

Of course he did. What else was he going to do with the rod he had from being in the graveyard?

Ok, cool. Thanks for the correction. Of course, if Louisiana's law gets struck down, Florida's might get taken off the books because people are stupid that way.

It's amazing how many politicians and even lawyers don't really understand what Supreme Court rulings mean. Furman v. Georgia didn't strike down all death penalties, it just set up a series of rules that a death penalty law had to pass in order to be Constitutional. Just as Hamdan v. Rumsfeld didn't rule the detaining of foreign fighters to be illegal, it just set up a series of hoops you had to jump through to establish that someone was a foreign fighter.

If the Louisiana law gets struck down, but the Florida law meets the requirements the Supreme Court puts on these kinds of laws, I'd say there's still an 80% chance the Florida law gets taken off the books by nervous nellies.

OCALA – The Sheriff's Office has charged a 63-year-old Marion County man with sexual battery on a 19-year-old woman who also said he had been abusing her since she was 7 or 8.

Deputies say Obie Robinson reportedly took the woman to Reddick on Tuesday to visit her boyfriend and told her that if he had to come back for her she'd have to do something.

Stranded, the victim called Robinson. He picked her up shortly before 9:30 p.m. and took her to isolated roadway in Citra that was close to a church under construction and a graveyard, according to a Sheriff's Office report. There, the woman said, Robinson asked for sex and when she told him no she said he exited the car, walked to the passenger side door, dragged her out and had sex with her.

The woman told officials that Robinson had fondled her since she was 7 or 8.

In an interview with sheriff's Detective Anthony Riggins he acknowledged touching the victim but said she agreed to it. He denied having sex with her. Robinson arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail early Wednesday on a sexual battery charge.

In 2006, according to a Sheriff's Office report, a deputy went to a northwest Marion County home where the young woman was staying and she claimed at the time that Robinson had touched her inappropriately.

The deputy quizzed him about the incident but he denied the allegation.

At first, officials couldn't follow up on the case because a phone was out of service. When they finally contacted her on that complaint, she declined to prosecute.

So she was 19 when it happened, which, like Norton said last week, if you're old enough to drive over there, it's no longer molestation.

Butttttttttttt that means she was born when he was 44. Still young to be a grandfather but white people young. So clearly, they're doing something right.
