I don't know anything about MA, so I don't know if the AFL is something that will get him some exposure or if he's going to a small/smaller company to get his feet wet before moving on to a company with a bigger audience.

The AFL has some decent fighters, but Lashley has very little real skills. He wrestled for the Army, thats not really against good competition. Lesnar was a very good NCAA wrestler and he is strugglin in MMA. Plus, I have never seen Lashley sans-Juice but he doesnt look like he is naturally as big as Brock.
