Dry rub, slow cooked, upside down wrapped in two layers of heavy duty foil on the grill. About one and a half hours.

You have to do the full cut with the tips on the. i never understand why anyone would get just the baby backs if you have the choice. I don't know if I've ever cooked them the same way twice, but I like a dry rub with salt and pepper and I also prefer the sauce on the side (faggot, I know) but Im not big on the vinegar & ketchup, douche type bbq sauces. I LOVE the jarred sauce that Dinosaur BBQ makes. I don't know how you refer to these types of sauce, but they are light years better than the regualr shit.

I viewed this thread on the off chance that noone had made the "gimme those ribs, you" reference. Love you guys

Best I ever had were Kobi Beef ribs at the SW Steakhouse in Las Vegas.
Melted in your mouth. Since I can't afford them at home I go with dry rubbed
and sauce on the side also.

The only time I even use sauce is if the rub I use doesn't taste right. BBQ sauce can kill the flavor of a good rib. I look at it like putting steak sauce on a good steak.

Sauce on the side pretty much means not adding any sauce while it is cooking, just pouring it on afterwards or pouring it on the side and dipping.

Dinosaur ribs are most excellent.

Myself, I like pork ribs, with a dry rub on the grill. But, for the last 10 minutes, I use a sauce, 5 minutes a side. I just like it when the ribs have that slightly caramelized flavor from the sauce.

I used to make something I called applejack ribs. I had pork ribs sit in a brine that included hard apple cider and jack daniels, along with salt, apple cider vinegar and other seasonings. I then cooked them in the brine for a bit and finished them off on the grill.

Sounds good. You didn't mention it, but I would slow cook them with some brine in the oven on 175 degrees for three hours and then finish them on the grill with some mesquite or hickory smoke and finish them with home made bbq sauce or maybe an apple chutney concoction thingy.

There are so many ways to do ribs so long as it's low and slow.

I'll take a good braised short rib over rack any day.

surprisingly enough, Olive Garden makes an awesome Chianti braised short rib served over portobella rissotto.

Short ribs definitely rule when cooked right. Steve at Basil T's puts them on the specials menu every once in a while and they kick ass.

For my usual rib choice, I go with babyback. Famous Dave's makes them the way I like them. My brother keeps telling me that Jack's Firehouse in Philly makes awesome ribs, but I haven't had the chance to go out there to try them for myself yet.

OMG I made the BEST ribs today in my crockpot. Tender and not all saucy like most of those recipes. You MUST buy the book Cheater BBQ. There are so many other yummy recipes in there I want to try out next.
