WHY is this show still on my TV? Seriously... who the fuck are the ham and eggers out there that are still watching this show?
I'll admit... it was cool for the first year or two. It was pretty interesting watching the fabrication process, and as soon as that got boring, Jr. and Sr. would start screaming at each other, and liven things up a bit.
But five years later?
They build motorcycles, Junior and Senior yell at each other, and Mikey is just adorable.
WE GET IT.
Stick a fork in this thing already.

They must have a good contract with a no cancellation clause because of shitty ratings.

I used to watch, now I see maybe one every few months. And each time, they are building a bigger and better world headquarters and factory. Who buys those things? I'm on some kind of scenic motorcycle route and herds of them come thru here in the summer, but I never saw one of theirs. To support the size shops and stores they have, they would need to sell 25-30 choppers a year.

Why are any of those show on any more a bunch of drunks on a boat fishing up crabs, rednecks driving on ice. Discovery is so dumbed down now. Get some new shows not the same stupid shit over and over.

Actually Ice Road Truckers is on History. I watched two episodes when it debuted last year and quickly punched out. As for Deadliest Catch, even though I do think it may be on its last legs, its still a far superior show compared to any of the reality crap that makes up TV these days. As for Discovery dumbing down, check out When We Left Earth, it may just change your mind.

Listen guys...I may be biased because these guys live 2 miles from me and my brother in law is their IT guy. He actually took that picture of Mikey.
They are still huge. They do a ton of merchandise and have a tremndous overseas following.
Not bad guys. Sr's grand daughter plays t ball with my son and his grand son is in pre school with my other son. They are very generous in the community. They get bombarded by out of towners....
With that being said I have not watched the show in 3-4 years.

Ice Road Truckers really flogs the "... the horror of a truck breaking through the ice plunging the driver to certain death in the icy waters!" thing waaaaay too much. In actuality... there has only been one death on the Ice Road in the last ten years... and that was a plow driver who broke through the ice BUT DID NOT SINK... the driver died of a heart attack. Statistically... the Ice Road is one of the SAFEST roads on the planet to drive a truck on. FAR MORE truckers are killed every year on the interstates in the lower 48 than have been killed in the entire history of the Ice Road.

Yeah, but it could happen at any time. Just like there has never been a UPS driver die in my driveway, but it could happen each time they come here. Hey, maybe that could be a new show...

Why not? They put some show on TLC about triplets or quadruplets or whatever the fuck they had and thats supposedly a hit...I'd rather watch the UPS guy walk to your door, have you sign for a package, and drive away. Gotta be more interesting than a bunch of brats running around a house.

Don't get me wrong... I have nothing against the Tutels. They're friends of the Greg & Tony Show, and they seem like pretty cool guys. I don't begrudge them a bit of their success.
Like I said... I enjoyed the show when it first came out, but c'mon... five years of this schtick? I bailed halfway through the second season. Who the hell is still out there hanging on? Let go already, you slack-jawed dullards.

I was home from work today and watched them build the first ethanol chopper. That corn bike was cool man. Then they put the final beam on the new shop. I love shit like "Trick My Truck" and "Pimp My Ride" too. However, Pimp My Ride gets retarded when they start adding TV monitors on mud flaps.
Still, these guys are like artists in a machine shop. Totally amazing!

The "theme bike" thing is really old and the reason I stopped watching.
Aren't they ALL theme bikes? Every bike I ever saw them build was customized to fit some theme of the owner or builder. One of my favorites was the black bike with no chain. The drive assembly was hidden.
There was a husband & wife truck driving team that lived together on the road. They built them a HUGE motherfuckin custom cab with a fold down bed, TV, stove, washer/dryer combo, shower&shitter, driver gets chrome up the wazoo and the outside was done in the old 30's style with Bonnie & Clyde painted on the back with twenty+ real lookin bullet holes. Sweet.
One guy's mother died from breast cancer and they turned his truck into a "Race For The Cure" rig with logo, painted on joggers, and an information center.
I would have just painted the truck with titties.

I haven't seen the show in three or four years. I watched the first season because it was interesting to see them building bikes, but the grumpy old man shit got old quick (we get it, he yells for no reason) along with the bikes looking like firetrucks and shit.

IMO, The show has gotten very scripted and hokey... nothing is believeable anymore. However, I will watch occassionally when everything else on my D*TiVo (including My Suggestions) has been watched and fast forward thru parts that bore me.
I remember when I would stop everything I was doing to watch an episode... now I could give a F less. Now that most of the actual real workers have left (Vinnie, Cody, etc.) the shop, it's become all but unwatchable. Kinda like when the head painter left "American Hot Rod" and I found out that Boyd Coddington (while an excellent designer) was a Piece Of Shit as a human.

Fezman - There are huge issues there. HUGE....While the Tuetels have been good for my town and community there are some terrible stories about the way they have treated some old time employees and some vendors.
Vinnie's brother does my landscaping and he had been complaining for years that they did not treat his brother well. Unfortunately nobody except them know the whole truth.
All I can say is that you will not find Vinnie and Cody say a word about the Tuetels and the Tuetels will not say a word about Vinnie and Cody. I guess we will all have to wait for the book.

I thought the same thing. They must have been pissed as Cody was supposed to be some long time childhood friend or so. I saw they thanked everyone right down to the mailman but no OCC. I stopped watching long before my tv got stolen, but they built that shop on all the merch they sell at every truck stop and mini mart. to me the theme bikes are hackey, but they have a line of regular bikes that you probably see all the time but can't recognize since they don't look that much different from any other bike.

I used to watch and would see the stars tacking everything. They never needed a helmet. I always wanted them to show the craftsmen who actually did the welding to hold everything together without leaks.

They had a time and place in this country and that time has passed.
