"Yes, I’m British. I spell “rumour” with two u’s. What U going to do about it? Well hopefully you’ll have no time to do anything, because either you’ll be embedded in Snake’s final mission on the Playstation 3, or engrossed in one of Snake’s first on the Xbox 360.
Yes, with knowledge comes…well, snappy Ripten headings, and this time it could read; “Metal Gear Solid Coming to the Xbox 360.” At least, not in the form you might expect. As we all know MGS4 couldn’t possibly fit on a measley DVD, but Metal Gear Solid 1 might be able to fit into fit into 350mb (though even that’s questionable.)
Indeedy do, MGS might be following its tactical steps onto the PS3 and PSP, via an Xbox Live Arcade infiltration. This is not too surprising, since the series has made its way onto non-Playstation consoles a number of times, and Microsoft even published MGS for the PC release.
I expect you’re asking how we know, or who our source is. Lets just say a reliable individual tapped into our codec frequency after spying the game on a certain pre-release network. We shall say no more - nudge nudge, wink wink - except this; there are problems in bringing Kojima’s masterpiece to this new playing field.
Naturally, rumours can turn out to be false, so we’ll bring you more information as it becomes available."

that would be pretty fucking sweet. haven't played that in a long time and it was sold awhile back.
i don't understand why Konami wouldn't release any of the new Metal Gears on Xbox/Xbox 360. what a bunch of pussy faggots.

Too many reiterations of MGS, put this under "Who gives a shit".

That game sucked ass when it came out. I can't even imagine how bad it is now. Doesn't exactly strike me as a game that can withstand the test of time.

That would be cool. I always wanted to finish that game. I rented it once and the disc was scratched, so the game kept freezing at one point.

If you say so. Snake always seemed like an annoying douche to me, the camera was shit, the graphics were sometimes so bad it was hard to tell where you were supposed to be going, the combat was terrible, the plot was embarrassing....I personally found it to be an almost unplayable game when it came out despite a few cute gimmicks. Then again, I think I was playing Half-life at the time so my standards were a bit higher than the average PS1 player.

Any of the new, meaning....? Like, new new?
Because MGS2 was out for XBox. I still have it, and I liked it better on the Xbox than on PS2....but that's not saying much....it wasn't all that great to begin with.

its not a combat game, you really arent supposed to be striking. the plot was embarrassing? are you sure on that one? how did he always seem like an annoying douche? that was one of the first voice acted metal gear games. what kind of cute gimmicks did it have? maybe you should go play the remake on gamecube or the anthology on ps2, the graphics are cleaned up . its some of the most memorable action in gaming. sniper wolf... the hind.. perhaps you are just too cool for this room

MGS1 has been available on the Japan PSN Store to be playable on both PS3 and PSP -- and the file size is 780 MB. I would gladly pay Konami to be able to play MGS1 on the PSP from the memory stick.
Although I wonder how the hell you'd be expected to defeat Psycho Mantis on the PSP?

Those were the best graphics of a console game at the time. The camera certainly hindered combat, but the game is not intended to be played like a shooter. The camera is the way it is to discourage that. And embarassing plot? I'll give that MGS2 had plenty of "what the fuck am I watching?" moments, but MGS didn't have any.
