I bought this IPOD knockoff (iNano 3) about six months ago for $50. It has 2 gigs of space. But for whatever reason, it will only let me pu 6 1/2 megs on it. the last gig and a half just sits there. When you try to put more on it says "Cannot copy [file name] The directory or file cannot be created".
Anyone have a clue?

Not sure if formatting it will F it up, But i have seen memory sticks do something like that. A quick format and all is good. If it ends up becoming a brick after a format. Please don't kill me

Thats what happens when you buy cheap Chinese knock-offs of an ipod. Buster is right Formatting it usually fixes the problems and doesn't harm the player but i never used one of those so i have no idea.

You know what happened to it? You brought it to Shea Stadium, it saw how shitty the Mutts look, and it killed itself.

Have you enabled viewing "hidden and system" files? Maybe you've got some of those on there. Also, try running scandisk and check both checkboxes about fixing errors first. That usually clears up faulty volume size errors.
Reformatting it may screw up the software that's on it that it uses to play MP3's.

Actually Cunt, it was in my car Tuesday, you may be right. OAPC, I will try your suggestion when I get a chance. the reformatting sounds like a last resort.
It works fine, just holds 1/3 of what it should.

Good point. He really should have picked one up at Citizens Bank Park.
