Nick Diaz can't be fighting on this. He's fighting on the EliteXC card on the 14th.

It is a good card, though, and if you don't get HDNet it might be found on TVU

Nick is on the EXC card and missed the 160 weight class by 9 pounds. Yea, he weighed in at 169. Nick fought at DREAM 3 on May 11th. That fight was at the DREAM WW class of 168.

The DREAM WW class is not involved in a grand prix. It is the Light Weights (154lbs) and Middleweights (185lbs). Technically the WWs are having a 4 man turny and yes Nick did win his fight. He will be fighting for the WW belt against Hayato "Mach" Sakurai. That should happen at DREAM 5 on July 21st. Nick is a very busy boy these days.

I have no idea why Nick thinks he could make 160 but he better give up on that thought.
I don't have HDNET but DREAM 4 should be a good event.

Not saying you don't have a reason to feel the way you do but I have met Nick and Nate Diaz a few times and they are great people always willing to take pictures, and sign autographs, I seen Nate 2 weeks ago in Atlantic City following Kit Copes fight in the wfc and he was extreamly cool and sat there and was shotting the shit with me for about 5 min even hooked me up with a shirt.

You may be right, but the fact is EliteXC doesn't have any other legit contenders to put against Noons. Their roster is very thin. Also, Nick has a fight against Mach Sakurai next month in DREAM and if he wins that I think he deserves a shot.

Besides, Noons is not all that great of a fighter. He has a record of 6-2 with a recent KO loss to Krazy Horse. In the UFC, DREAM, Strikeforce or any other major org he would not be champ.

They might as well just have the same title fights over and over again. After all that is what the WWE does. And the word from the last two shows is that that is the direction they are headed (again I have yet to see either of them). Lawler/Smith II is apparently already signed for the second CBS show on July 26th.

I say they should bring in Joachim Hansen. Hansen would destroy Noons and then things would get fun.

As we have previously pointed out, the match against Sakurai is at 168. Diaz should at least win one fight at 160 before he gets the rematch. That is if he could make weight.
