How many controllers do I need really, what the hell is a Mario Party and are there any good games for this thing besides Mario Kart? Is the Tekken game with Nintendo people any good? I haven't bought a Nintendo console since the SNES. I'm sure there are 12 threads discussing the virtues of the wii and which games are good individually but I'm looking for the Cliffs notes version. I'll delete the fucker when it's done.

PS This is for my 3 kids although it's ostensibly going to be a gift for me for Father's day. They like their DSes and the whole Super mario thing... I miss Super Mario 3 personally.

You will need 18 controllers.

Mario Party is a sex game with fat Italian plumbers a mushroom and an angry alligator.

Tekken, only fags and PR like Tekken.

Get four charging stations in case three of them break.

I suspect you're trying to make me spend money needlessly Mr. Turtle. However Mario Party does sound fun the way you've described it. Tekken was the only side-view fighting game I could come up with in short notice, I'm not a big fan.


Edit: Wait, I can DL and Play old games on there? This is getting interesting now.

yes i think you can down load all the old games (for a fee of course) you can also play game cube games in it if you want, i also think it play's DVD's but im not sure, it is kind of cool, your tekky enough to get into it. its not a PS3 or an Xbox, but it does do some cool shit, you can surf the web spend money, check out porn on the TV it is just a little kiddyish

No DVD player on the Wii, but yes, you can download all sorts of old games, NES, SNES, N64, Sega Master System, Genesis, Turbo Graphix, and Neo Geo

just get one extra nunchuck and three wiimotes. I have had that setup since I bought it and have no use for any more nunchucks. I haven't bought a game for it for awhile now though so I am not sure if any of the new ones use it for players 3 and 4.

wii is a great system, my son just got the lego indiana jones, its pretty good, we like Wii sports, well at least I do

I've never played Mario Party for Wii, but it used to be a good drinking/hanging out game for friends who weren't good enough to like, get into Halo/COD type games.

It's basically a really well done board game with little mini games to score points/make money/kill Bowser, etc. Think of it like Monopoly meets Mario Cart, just without the tediousness of bankers and real estate transactions.

Your kids will love it, and you'll find yourself having fun with them, and it's simple enough for younger kids to catch on pretty quickly too.
