and it's getting on my nerves. Leno seems to be dishing up set-ups for Sykes, the way Byron Allen does on that awful "Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen" show of his.
You watch that show and it's just constant setups for the comics to spew out little bits from their act. If Jimmy were on, for instance, there'd be a "So I hear you went on an audition for a Gap commercial" for Jimmy to transition into that part of his old act.
I don't know what Sykes' act is like, but Leno just did a "so gas prices are crazy right now" setup for Sykes and it was painfully obvious. Leno often does this with comics, but he's usually better at it than in this case. Or maybe Sykes just doesn't have anything interesting to say unless it's already in her act.
