2. How do i prevent over heating/game freezing? Is it true you can have a fan built in?
3. Can i get HDMI wires cheap?
4. Whats the best charging station too get?
5. How long do the dual shock 3 controllers last?
6. What other add on's, other than another controller, should i get?
Any other advice would be appreciated.

I've got really nothing of value to say here but I picked up that same bundle two weeks ago and love it.
I picked up HDMI cables at Walmart for like 25 or so.
I know not what you were looking for but I'm eagerly waiting for the answers myself.

Charging station? I'm out of the loop on this one, what are you charging?
And yes, get your hdmi cable at walmart... digital is digital, don't spend $100 at best buy.
Edit: Pick up a remote for the blu-ray player. You don't need it (you can use the controller as a remote), but if you're used to a conventional remote when watching movies it will be well worth the $25.

1. Which is the Best 1080 tv out there for gaming? Don't know, but they aren't all that different from one another.
2. How do i prevent over heating/game freezing? Is it true you can have a fan built in? The PS3 won't overheat. It was engineered CORRECTLY
3. Can i get HDMI wires cheap? Wal-mart/Sam's Club for $20(Sams) or $25(Wal-mart)
4. Whats the best charging station too get? You don't need one really.
5. How long do the dual shock 3 controllers last? A couple of days of continuous play. The longest I played at any time was like 10-12 hours straight and it kept a charge. The new Dual-Shock won't last as long though.
6. What other add on's, other than another controller, should i get?
Any other advice would be appreciated A comfortable chair and Blu-ray films (and like the other guy said, get a movie remote control)

1. talk to the nerds at best buy
2. keep airflow moving around it. there shouldn't be anything withing six inches of the unit.
3. walmart
4. Look online. they are all pretty much the same so just buy the 25 dollar unit and you should be good.
5. I'm assuming your talking about the charge time. Mine usually last about five hours of consistent use.
6. a bluray remote. a web cam. Socom 4. mass storage device for dumb files.

1. As far as I know there isn't a TV specific for gaming, just go with known brands, Sony, Samsung, Aquos etc, I have a 40' Sony Bravia 1080p and MGS4 looks awesome on it...
2. Haven't had a problem with overheating, so can't help you there, just keep your PS3 in an open area...
3. Yes, just look online, I paid $6 for mine.
4. don't know
5. Depends on how long you play, but as long as you charge it overnight you should be fine
6. If you're into online gaming, then you might want to buy a headset

I use a 1080i Olevia TV and it works well for me. I'm waiting a little longer to get 1080p since there's not much programming out there in 1080p yet. I'm not a huge gamer, so I probably wouldn't notice the subtle differences between the "good" more expensive HDTVs and the lower end ones like I have.
Look online for HDMI cables, they are available much cheaper: example link

The standard USB cords that come with the controllers will charge them, there really doesn't seem to be much use for the charging stations that are out there. I just got one of the dual shock controllers. It's a lot better than the six axis controllers that used to come with the PS3. They are still pretty new, so I'm not sure if anyone will really know how long they last. I think the MGS4 bundle is one of the first to offer the dual shock with the console. Before this they offered the other six axis (non-vibrating) controllers. Both last a long time between charges, several days for me.
Cooling may be a problem for some, but I haven't had any trouble so far. There are cooling fans available for about $30 that attach to the end of the console. (there's also a fan built in that seems to do ok for me) I used one of these laptop cooling fan bases and placed it under my PS3, plugging it into a USB port:

I agree the Blu-ray remote is a cool thing to add. They are only $20-25 and make movie watching a lot easier.

my personal opinion on tv quality with gaming
panasonic>samsung=sharp>sony>whatever else
thats really for above 40 inches, under 40inches id say get a samsung or an aquos
be sure to buy a tv that has all of the connections that you want, or at least enough of them(ie dont buy a tv with 1hdmi input if you use a ps3 and an hdmi xbox or other appliance)
personally i was used to the ps2 as my dvd remote, so i dont see a need for one, fortunately its not like the old xbox1 where you pretty much were fucked if you didnt own the remote, buy it if you have the cash to blow

Go Monoprice for the cheapest reliable HDMI cables. For 25-30$ there's a 4 station plug-in charger that works well.
Don't block the air vents of the PS3 and it won't overheat.
I've never had a controller die on me.
Buy an 8GB memory stick and download divx films off the net for watching on the PS3.

you must have recently received a big check from the Ron and Fez show in order to be buying all this stuff, el oh el
you can find a decent 40-47" 1080p LCD for around $1500. I doubt you'll notice any difference. Just look for several HDMI inputs so you can hook up your tivo, cable, ps3, etc.

I recently got a HDMI cable @ Walmart for $15 and the box said it was "designed for" the XBox/PS3. Hope that helps.

1. Dunno, but most games are native in 720p.
2. The PS3 has a much better cooling system thaqn the 360, don't worry about overheating and don't buy an Intercooler, very noisy and not needed.
3. Yes, HDMI cables can be bought on the internet, or at Radio Shack...don't buy one at Best Buy.
4. Buy the Nyko 4 port charger, you may need to buy an extra mini-USB cable for the 3rd/4th controller though.
5. I rarely charge my Dual Shock 3 and I play MGS4 a lot...I've never had it tell me to charge, if I remember, I just plug it in for about 10 minutes before I get ready to play.
6. The only real add-on is the Playstation Eye, I'm waiting for it to catch on with more games before I commit to buying it. The only other add-on is a Bluetooth headset.

Avoid Plasma, buy LCD, 1080p is nice for games that support it, but 720p is golden. For gaming, you want 8ms response time or faster.
