It seems almost everyone ends up breaking their Rock Band bass pedal eventually and many people want to quiet the sound from hitting the drum pads, so I think this needs to be a stand alone thread.
Here's my quick review of Block Head's "Hit Kit" you can get at Best Buy. BTW, they can be hard to find and on backorder. I think I'm gonna go back and grab the last one they had there yesterday.

Ok, I have used the Block Head's "Hit Kit" for a few rounds of "Buddy Holly" on expert.

Bass Pedal: I like it. I did well with it. I prefer the "high" spring setting. It feels more like the original bass pedal. The pedal is shorter, but I think I'll get used to it.
The pedal cord is a little too short, but it's ok. If you just run it straight up to the port, it actually is in contact with the pedal as you use it, so I ran it under the bars that run on the bottom of the drum set, then up to where it plugs in. Much better.

Drum pad sound quieters: Work well. They install easily and so far stay in place. The "hit" sound is down significantly and I did not notice missed hits, and I hit fairly lightly.

Sticks: Feel a little heavier but I did fine with them. They are not wood, some composite I guess. They have a little more bounce off the drum. No difference in score or %. VERY minor note- there's a tiny seam that runs up the sticks that I noticed and had to adjust my grip on the stick to not notice.

For $20, this is a GREAT deal http://www.rockband.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I saw several of these at a Best Buy in my area. If I ever break my original, i'll pick this up.

I might get this too...immediately I noticed that the in-box kick pedal isn't very responsive. It would be nice to adjust the tension.
