Portable mp3 player/recorder

This weekend i'm planning on buying a portable mp3 player/recorder i've seen some good ones in crutchfield, any advise on what to get, it's gotta be able to handle a lot of music (and all of whats on eds site)......I'm most likely getting it at Best Buy, but any suggestions?

There's an "easter egg" feature in the iPod's latest software update. It leads me to believe that a new recording accessory is coming or a new version of the iPod will be introduced.

I know nothing about the Ipod. But I suggest you also get a Irock if you don't have one already. It's a portable FM wireless adaptor which uses 88.1, 88.3, 88.5 or 88.7 to broadcast from your MP3 player over you car stereo or home stereo (as long as it is digital tuning). It was only $25.99. It works really well for me out side of Philly, and I use it with a $29.00 MP3/CD player I bought at wal-mart... Great for car rides (haven't listened to D&M or hoo-hoo since i got it!!) and nights where I don't feel like listening to the boys in the computer room.

There is a similar version for the IPod called an Itrip... it's $32.99 on Amazon.
