I recently purchased an 8 gig zune and am curious as to how I
can load some of the free podcasts ( like smodcast )to my zune.

How do I go about getting it out of itunes and into my zune.

Thanks in advance.

good luck, only way I can think of is to play the file in real time on your computer while another program (total recorder) records from the soundcard in a different file type.
Not a very practical solution.

there are 2 steps -

1. return zune to store

2. buy an ipod

I am sure if you do some searching you will find a converter. maybe use the windows music app to import the podcasts and convert to the zune? are the podcasts in AAC? If they are Mp3 you can just load them I think

Anything in .m4p format will not be compatible with the Zune. You'd need a program like Tunebite to convert those to standard MP3's.

If they're just in standard .mp3 format, they should be in your C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\
folder.

Congrats on buying a Zune. Ive got the 80GB model and love it. No way in hell Id trade it for an iPod.
