It comes to DVD Tuesday and I think it has the possibility to be better then the live action films since animation can do many things live can't. Either way heres a link to the trailer and offical website, I for one will be grabbing this as soon as it comes out.

I just got it from another "wink wink, nudge nudge" source, and I'm gonna watch it tonight. Looks pretty interesting, and will hopefully satisfy some of my unbearable urge to see The Dark Knight.

Wow I didn't know it comes out tomorrow, I watched this yesterday through other means. When I first read about it, I wasn't a big fan of six different stories, I would have preffered one story, but I was pleasently surprised at how good it was. The stories while being different flowed together well, and it had a shit load of violence, In fact there is a scene where you see a guy get shot, right through the head. My personal favorite was the last story (Deadshot), but all of them were very good.
I would post a more detailed review, but I will let you guys watch it first.

Oh this looks to be far darker and more violent then phantasm (I saw it too back in the day). Those anime artists are a talented bunch and love there violence.

Saw B:GK's, didn't care for it. Liked two of the stories, but I don't dig the whole anime style artwork. Batman looked downright fucking gay in Field Test. Blech. Did like Mask of the Phantasm, though.

So, it's Batman's answer to the Animetrix?

So, it's Batman's answer to the Animetrix?
Exactly.
OK, so I just watched it, and I thought it was so-so. It was good enough filler between Batman Begins and the upcoming Dark Knight, but other than that, it's nothing special. I mean, it's about 75 minutes, and I thought THAT was kind of long, and it was dragging. Not to say the segments were bad, they were just more style, (i.e. animation, etc.) over substance, (good, intriguing stories). Now, bearing in mind, it was kind of lame, yet, there were a few pretty good segments, which were Crossfire, In Darkness Dwells, and Deadshot. All were very well done, well voiced, well animated, and nice and violent. I liked the fact the creators didn't puss out, and they had some nice gunfight scenes, and as said before, a great bullet through the head scene.
Also, now that I look at what I've written, I guess I liked half of the segments. I found the one with the "gangsta talking" urban kids with overblown interpretations of Batman to be UNBEARABLE, it brought nothing to the the storyline, and I hated it. The others I won't ruin, but I'll say they were useless to the Batman storyline, and contained a lame-ass "anime Bruce Wayne". So, overall, it was mediocre, and only for hardcore fans like myself, who can't wait for the Dark Knight and need NEW Batman stuff. I'm glad I got it through "wink-wink, nudge-nudge" sources, rather than pay for it, definitely more worthy of a download/renting. Overall though, pretty enjoyable, just very mediocre.

Yeah, the overblown interpratation of Batman, in the first one, really bugged me too. the whole robot, Shadow and actual bat just reeked of Japanese thinking. The anime Bruce Wayne bugged me as well, but other than those two things, I really had no problem with it.

Ya, it wasn't bad. I also disliked that one where Batman had been shot, and he is in the sewer, waiting for Alfred to come help him, attempting to get out, and recalling his training by that weird woman in another country. Where the woman teaches him how to channel his pain, I was just plain bored with that one until there was SOME action. And, I'm not even being stupid are ignorant, (I sit through many foreign and independent films, some of you guys would despise and wouldn't even look at), I just didn't dig it.
Worth ONE viewing though, haha.

I'm assuming the country was India, since the woman was wearing a sari, and had a dot on her head. To be honest with you I didn't mind that one, as, much as the first one. At least, this one had something to do with the plot (Batman learning how to deal with pain, after he got bit) where as the first one had absolutely no point to the plot.

Very true, I guess it just was slightly boring, while still entertaining overall, and did contribute to the overall plot. I really thing we should start some sort of anti-first segment group, I absolutely LOATHED it, even that, "could see it from a mile away" line from Batman. "Thanks kid, I guess I owe you one..."
YECHHHHH! So hacky.

I just love Batman and I love Kevin Conroy. With those two things, I can be satisfied, even if they put up utter crap.

Just watched and I enjoyed it, some of the dialog and voices were kinda shitty but thats to be expected with most animation. I liked seeing all the different artists interpretation of the character, that said I think this is more of a renter then a buyer. So get it off netflix or blockbuster because I don't think I would go past a couple viewings.

Yes, It was a damn good adaption as opposed to the not even trying Death of Superman adaption.

That wasn't death of superman, the doomsday superman fight is my favorite comic fight and that wasn't it. DC was suppoed to get creative control over that and at the last minute they made ...THAT. I'm told they went apeshit after they saw what was made and now took over all future DC animations. Sort of what Marvel has done with its live action films.

I watched it. Deadshot is easily the best segment and I would watch it numerous times. Deadshot is such a badass.
The other stuff was OK. I liked it, but Deadshot was a different level. It would be cool if DC decided to use that style for an animated show.

Is Gotham Knight considered a prequel to Dark Knight or are these just separate entities in the Batman universe?

Well it deals with Gordon having a team of cops like the untouchibles and the fact the Russian and Sal Maroni are enemies, and the Scarecrow has a bunch of Nuts from Arkham working for him in the sewer in the cartoon. And i believe the Russian is in the actual Dark Knight movie. There is definately a loose Narative but it connects to one another.
