(Bellevue, WA) -- An elderly Washington state resident is under scrutiny by the Department of Justice for alleged war crimes. The "Seattle Post-Intelligencer" reports 86-year-old Peter Egner is believed to have worked with a Nazi mobile "killing unit" in German occupied Serbia during World War Two. The complaint accuses Egner of gassing 17-thousand Jews, gypsies and anyone who politically opposed Nazi rule. The Justice Department's Office of Special Investigations is requesting Egner be stripped of his U.S. citizenship so that he may be deported and possibly tried for war crimes.
