I was with ATT for years but when Cingular took over it was a cluster fuck a few years back, so I moved over to Sprint. Then ATT re-takes Cingular? Oh well.

I'm VERY happy with Sprint. But like the Anthony said, everyone is gonna bash/praise every other company depending on the signal they get at work, home, etc.

In SoCal and Las Vegas, Sprint is awesome. I've got the Mogul/HTC 6800 with the new firmware upgrade that has everything, including GPS, Wireless Access Point emulation, WinMobile 6 (much more stable and faster) data connect speeds at 1.5mbs with my laptop and a ton of freeware apps installed.

I have a freeware backup program that backs everything up at night to my 4gb MiniSd card so I can also hard-reset my phone and get everything back without worrying about "syncing."

I just re-signed with them for two more years and they gave me a $140 credit for renewing 4 lines. My family shares 1400 minutes, unlimited data and text, long distance, free mobile to mobile, and evenings starting at 7pm for $109 a month. Can't beat that.

I know the learning curve would be kind of steep for a guy like Jimmy, but I think more people need to know there's other "cults"out there.

I've never gotten into the Crackberry, but everyone I know swears by them. It wasn't until the last couple of years that they made them more media-friendly.

I made the switch from Cingular/ATT to Verizon last month. Cingular was dogshit for as long as I had them. My phone never even worked in the goddamn house. I had a Razr with them. Now I have a Blackberry 8330 and it's fucking awesome. Fast internet, decent battery life, and none of the homosexual stigma that comes with owning an iphone.

I have Verizon and it is pretty good. But I could smash my fucking phone for it's awful fucking reception. I had a basic phone and everything worked well, I was give a used Razor and it sucks chimp ass.

The phone will ring, you'll answer and then pick up to see you just lost all your bars and "call ended".

I think I need to find a new phone this weekend while it's on my mind.

But I do like Verizon.

Only complaint I have is that Verizon blocks a lot of stuff on the phones. I want to get a phone that is WIFI but under Verizon the only phone they have available says it is WIFI but after reading through reviews, you cannot connect to a hotspot. So no fancy phone for me.

I've had Sprint for almost 10 years and am very happy with them. I just upgraded to the LG Rumor which is a pretty decent phone. The camera doesn't have a flash like some of LG's other QWERTY phones, but for the amount of times I take pictures on the camera, I'm not going to worry about it.

My contract ends with them in october and i couldn't be fuckin happier to get rid of those fuckers for screwing me over. About a year or 2 after the merger with nextel they really have fallen far and have just become a shitty company with horrible customer service and being charged with shit i never signed up for yet it takes fuckin 8 damn months for them to finally clear it up and they say there isn't shit they can do. So i paid an extra $5 a month for shit i never even wanted on my phone and i never got anything back from it. Yes there such a great company on screwing customers over. I'm not bitter at all. i used to have nextel years ago and i had a verizon phone from jersey, in the south subs that fuckin verizon phone blew ass. i had to stand in the middle of the street to get a signal. companies are regional anyway depending where you are makes a difference. i think att and sprint are close to the same in chicagoland verizon sucks and i think stupid u.s. cellular is the shit as far as signal goes here.

Verizon - just switched from a Chocolate to an LG EnV - i know it's a little bit "old hat" now, but my Chocolate was crapping out and I wasn't due for an upgrade for a year, I managed to get an early upgrade to an enV for $70. I wish the web browsing was a little more robust, I know some people visit the Bag on theirs, but I can't quite get it to work - and don't feel like wasting more time figuring it out :)

My reception seems to be kind of crappy in my apartment, but generally it's at least "OK" just about everywhere... overall I like Verizon's call quality better than Sprint, but I haven't had sprint now in almost 5 years

But I thought the poll was set up to use multi-click?

I used to use an unlocked Treo 650. I miss the SIM card features of GSM phones. You can pop a prepaid one in if you go to another country so you don't pay those ridiculous international roaming rates.

And I've had just the opposite experience. Every time I've called, I've had no problems with customer service. I've found it's improved even more over the last year or so ... seems they're hiring more Americans and getting away with outsourcing to India. I had a problem a few months ago - ringtones etc weren't coming through. There wasn't a block & nothing was locked. The tech stayed on the phone with me for over an hour going through every diagnostic in her manual and then some. After it seemed that things were fixed, she told me she'd call back before her shift ended to make sure. Gave me her name & ID and told me to call after I received my bill for credit (said she couldn't credit what she wanted prior to the bill hitting) & said she was making a note so that there'd be no problem when I called. Sure enough, she called back and spent another 45 minutes on the phone going through the diagnostics again. And when I billed, I called and the notes were in the system, just as she promised they would be.

ATT and an iphone gen1. I also have a verizon air card.

all cell phone carriers suck the big one, all of them. You just have to find the one that sucks the way you like it so to speak. you will never find anyone that absolutely loves their carrier. they're either too expensive, or their coverage sucks, or they don't have the phone you like. I have had ATT for years and travel all over the country and have had pretty good luck with them. The coverage could be better and up until just very recently, their data service was something out of the stone age. They still have years of equipment upgrades and initial installs in their data network to get close to sprint and verizon. I am actually happy with verizons data service since I got a new rev1 card that is much faster than the old rev0 one that died.

I've been with Sprint for about 10 years, with a few problems along the way. Their customer service has gone down a little, but was never all that great to begin with. I guess I've been lucky enough to not need a lot of help along the way. It's been my experience that the main problems arise from using the cheapo handsets. I have a Treo 700p for my personal phone, and also carry a Treo 755p for work. I wish they made some phones with multiple lines available. I'd pay a little extra to not have to carry two phones and a data card with me most of the time.

Verizon with the Samsung flip which has a small keyboard. I love it! The service isn't great at my actual house but it's actually improved in the past year. Verizon service worked 90% of the way on my cross country road trip - only problems I've had was when I was in very rural areas, which is going to happen with any carrier.

i had the wing from T-mobile, and recently switched to AT&T. I use the tilt now. I switched because AT&T uses sim cards, the Tilt was a vastly better phone than the wing, and because i refuse to use non 3G.

I actually dont have anything really terrible to say about T-mobile. Just that their network isnt as fast. Their prices are still pretty good, but since money's not a huge issue since graduating. might as well get a better network/phone

Just upgraded to the LG Dare on Verizon, very cool iPhone knockoff, but no 'apps. Had a Motorola E815 before this, that phone was easily the best phone since the Startac in terms of being a phone.

Been on AT&T and Sprint in the past and neither had nearly the reliability of Verizon's Network.

I work in the industry as a Site Acquisition Manager. I manage and sometimes perform the work my self in finding suitable properties (rooftops or raw land) for erecting cellular sites. I've worked for them all. Verizon is the most solid company I have worked for. They are slow and methodical and put money were it is needed. Other carriers will fold up shop halfway through projects due to bad financials and planning. The mergers didn't help anybody. T-Mobile around the NY Metro area stinks as does AT&T...and I have leased a shit load of sites for AT&T in NYC and Jersey City. I go and scope sites for Verizon and I'm showing full bars in areas because I am there during a low traffic period. They are adding "capacity" sites when the other carriers are still getting their networks filled out, or in the case of merged companies (Spring Nextel, AT&T and Cingular), are still trying to get their networks in line.
Oh yeah, Verizon also has added generators, and is including them in all new site builds, to all thier sites so when a tragedy like 9-11 goes down again, or a simple power grid issue, the generators will be able to make sure people can make and receive calls.

I had Nextel before VZW and I liked them very much and would use them again. AT&T - though they buttered my bread - no thanks, same for TMO, who I hear is great down South. Whatever.

Write me a letter.

Their customer service is the worst. All my friends left Nextel after that so I didn't even have anyone to two way anymore. I stayed with the Sprint side and can't wait for the contract to expire.

I am on Sprint after 4 years of ATT/Cingular. I am currently using an HTC Touch Windows Mobile phone and I don't like it.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I signed on to an employee friend/family referal plan in the last week it was being offered. I get 1250 minutes a month and unlimited texting/internet. All I pay is $50 a month. ATT couldnt beat that deal so here I am today.

The touch is a great phone. It is a Windows Mobile phone that is about as small as a closed Motorola RAZR. It is loaded with all the good stuff, GPS, 3G speeds, WM 6.1, and it has basically replaced my mp3 player, PDA and phone. I stream XM on it, I listen to baseball on it and using Orb, I can have access to all the videos and music I have on my base hard drive.

If O&A ever lose the satellite gig (and with all the talk about internet radio they have been doing, I think they may be expecting the worst with this merger) these unlimited data devices will be a good medium to use for the show. JV & Elvis tried it out a few months back before they split up. You could stream the show live as it happened, and if you were listening on their web site, they had an app called the Blinko Player, which is a video of them in the studio (bigger than the paltalk vid) and they could show videos and pictures they are commenting on in real time. I checked it out a few times when the show was still on and it was pretty cool.
