I tuned in for the XM broadcast experience and wondered why they kept playing the morning zoo laugh track. Everything was much too hilarious. Opie got a huge laugh for a simple statement of a fact. Goddam that was annoying.

I liked Godfrey. He has this interesting method of joke telling. If the joke gets nothing, either because it wasn't funny or no one heard it in the room full of 900 people, he would simply repeat it again ten seconds later.

Glad it wasn't just me that hated the guy and his stupid HAAAAAAAAA.
The first few times it was no big deal, then it just got more and more noticeable.
By the end I was anticipating it anytime anything funny was happening, and that made it even more annoying when it inevitable happened.

To me, it's different than Patrice. I'm used to him and I like listening to him, plus his screeching seems more genuine and doesn't happen after every fucking line someone says.

You are totally correct. I don’t know if this is an act that he does, but as it is presented he comes off as not funny. Why he wants to act “N”ish in speech and volume, and the fact you are at the cellar all weekend. This overly black gentleman can never be on the show if he can’t answer topical questions, and not yell out. Jimmy does the cellar every week and has never been invited. There is a reason.
