Not at all. Actually he seems to have good info, is fast on getting sounds/clips/bits and is a step ahead of the boys... I was just saying it is a new dynamic to the show (CBS side at least)... In my mind, I am still unsure if I like it or not.

Of course, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter a rat's ass what I think, but I was just seeing what others thought. This is not meant to be a negitive or whining thread... just seeing what people think, that's all.

No need to explain yourself dude. I don't think you were being critical of the show or O&A. StuntBrain has definitely had more of an on-air presence recently. Neither good nor bad. It is what it is.

How someone could interpret your post as a "hating" type of thread would mean they didn't read what you wrote.

The one thing I like about StuntBrain is that he makes his point and gets the fuck out of the conversation. Rick...he'd make a point, then make a song parody, then discuss the parody, etc. Not saying Rick was a complete piece of shit. But he definitely took advantage of his air time. StuntBrain is more of a fact-finder.

It's good to hear some intelligence in there and non-abuse.

It's all the others (except Steve C.) who I couldn't care less about. (well, Danny's pretty cool)

Anything that is not 100% positive or ass kissing gets attacked anymore it seems around here so I wanted folks to know I was just curious of other's opinions. Attacking one another for having likes and dislikes seems to have become pretty trendy around here lately... Of course, now that I have said this, I will be attakced for saying peope attack other's for having opinions :action-sm

CBS put him in, right? They didn't like having Steve run both sides I think. Seemed like a control/power play by CBS... nothing against StuntBrain... he is just trying to do his job, but like the boys say, it is like having divorced parents, XM and CBS....

StuntBrain rules! He started the whole 5am - 10am on krock deal, even got the daytime dj's to promote them on krock from 5-10.. And he does bring a lot to the show, quick answers to things that they don't have the answer for

I'd just like to point out the fact that StuntBrain(tm) is the first actual Radio Producer that they have had in the past 10 years.

Steve's great, but he was a fanboy with a website who started to hang with the show.
Ben...a coked out intern that was promoted.
Rick...Opie's girlfriend's brother who needed a job. OK that was low...but Rick was not a producer in anything other than title.

Stuntbrain(tm) isn't trying to hog mic time, he's adding to the show and then backing off. If you've paid attention you could see an improvement in the show since he's been there. I wish he did both sides.

O&A rule, but they need someone behind them to steer the ship or else "capt'n opie" will crash it into yet another iceberg somewhere out there again.

Yeah, I just don't think Steve meshes well with the show that it is today I've always wondered if it was a rush to hire Ben and Steve when they came back after Sex for Sam to XM. It seemed like a "No, nothing's changed we got all the same people. Give us a try!"

Don't get the love for Than either. What will his legacy be on the show? Nothing. He was a cool guy who told some funny Mom stories but I also think it was a rush to hire all these young guys to help run the show. It came off as trying to be a "young" show. That being said Sam and Danny rule. I think they have great talent. LOve it or hate it, at the time, I think Rick brought a lot to that show on WNEW. Can't say the same about Derrick.

I wanted to hate him but he often brings actual facts to the table and nothing I like better then to see old stunt mouth Opie get corrected. I've semi-changed my idea on Stunt Brain but I agree with Liddy, I hate saying it!

He's given less seemingly fake radio, but someone said he still has a "zoo" delivery to him which gets irritating. Saying fake radio, I mean that he used to give those "insert fake laugh here" and "producer sticks head out production door and too loudly laughs at car crash joke" bits which have really gone away.

But he's taken away too many "Proffesor Anthony" bits! Booooooooo we want Professor Anthony! But he does give a wider range of information to the show in areas The Boys would normally seem clueless and rely on other s anyway.

i like him on the show. lots of the time a question about a fact or politics comes up and instead of having to go to the phones to get more information from one of us dopey listeners, stuntbrain can just rattle it off and they don't lose any momentum, unlike when some bore from missoula mississippi calls and tries to revel in the moment of being on the radio so he streches this answer out way too long and the bit loses steam.

Maybe it has something to do with "Dog Eat Dog" atmosphere that O&A encourage, that results in any audio that Steve cuts being used in a Ramone joke or DB remix. Then there are the constant jokes about his sexuality and you wonder why he isn't excited when encounters the fans repeating the same jokes. I'd have moved on a long time ago under that pressure.

he is for the most part quick with information. O&A like to randomly discuss things, instead of OP sayin' "Well, we will have someone find more info on that later. He usually has information within seconds, which helps the flow of the show. But, if they do go exclusive with Sirius Xm, I don't know if I would want stuntbrain or not.
