Even though they are on a taped delay after ManDousche, the boys are now in the line up for Sinclair Communications Modern Rock/Alternative "96X" WROX/96.1 in Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA.
From VARTV (http://www.vartv.com)
Starting tomorrow, Sinclair Communications Modern Rock/Alternative "96X" WROX/96.1 Exmore/Norfolk will be adding more Classic Alternative (80s/90s) titles to its playlist. There's no format change but Program Director Jay Michaels says the station will have the appeal of being a bit older. On Monday, 96X debuts a new weekday schedule:
6-10 a.m. -- Mancow Morning Madhouse
10 a.m.-2 p.m. -- Opie & Anthony (new)
2-7 p.m. -- The Mike & Bob Show (an extra hour)
7-midnight -- "X After Hours with Kristi Michael" (from middays)
Until. last year, I lived in VA Beach. Mike and Bob are local guys and actually pretty funny. Younger guys. Glad to see they are still in the line up. As for the whole ManCow thing.... I have no idea why.

No kidding. I am now in Columbus, Ohio where there is no O&A on the air... But I have not listened to terrestrial since I got my XM years ago.

I'm pretty sure Stuntbrain set up a 5-10 deal in NY and since it's a tape delay they'll probably use one of those worst-of hours

1 hour of commercials intertwined in the 3 hours.
Edit: that makes no sense..........

It would've been classic if the station was 90.9. That would've made someone in the area's day.

It's add one, lose one and a big question mark for the Opie & Anthony Show today. WROX/Norfolk becomes the latest affiliate for O&A, picking up the show to run in middays from 10am-2pm. The 3-hour regular radio slot originating from CBS Radio's WXRK/New York will run on delay and be extended to four hours so WROX can still play music in middays. In the loss column, O&A find themselves off the air at Citadel's WEDG/Buffalo. Meanwhile, the show finds themselves in a precarious position with XM Satellite Radio as their contract is due to run out in 65 days and there has been no contact about their deal being renewed. Presumably, the hold-up in XM renewing the program has been due to the pending merger, so that could change now that the FCC has voted to approve the XM-Sirius alliance. Even so, there is no word whether the approved merger will benefit the show. Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin has repeatedly said he doesn't believe in sharing content with regular radio. Also, there is no timetable yet for the two companies to begin operating as one merged entity, so O&A fans will wait and watch as this one goes down to the wire.

Is this the first Sinclair station they're on? I wouldn't be surprised if they come on more of them with Citadel tanking.

Didn't get a chance to listen today, but I figure they are going with more like 15-minute long stop sets instead of the standard 9-minutes...and filling with one or two additional songs along with a spot load in there as well...not really a bad way to go.
We'll see how long this lasts...Sinclair stations usu. can't go more than one book without flipping a format or shuffling air talent between their studios on the 14th floor of the Bank of Hampton Roads Building.
And they are only three clicks up the dial from my station...even if we don't really "cover" the same parts of the market

They are running the show segments, going to commercial break, playing 2-3 songs, then playing next O&A segment...and repeat. Their afternoon show does the same thing. It ends the show around 1:35-1:45.

I was wondering today what markets they are still in and got this off of Foundry:
New York City
Boston, MA
Cleveland, OH
Rochester, NY
Albuquerque, NM
Baton Rouge, LA
Cape Cod, MA
Norfolk, VA
Syracuse, NY (not even sure if they returned yet)
Yeesh. 9 cities and only 3 are really worth a damn. Does anyone remember what was the most amount of cities that they were syndicated to at the height of their deal about 2 years ago? I thought it was 20-something.

Inside jokes rule.
Now that Sinclair is a syndicator of the show, the boys can maybe get on the air in Santa Rosa, CA and Austin, TX.

Yay! My home town!
Considering the demographics there and who have been on top (name escapes me, but they're hacky like Bob and Tom) of talk radio there for years, they could do well. And it's a bigger market than you'd think.

They're still on in Vegas, if tape delay on an AM station that cuts out on them early counts.

This is a different Sinclair (http://www.sinclairstations.com/)(I know, confusing) this is basically a guy and his family that own less than a dozen stations in three markets

I lived in the tidewater area for two years and it was the worst experience of my life. Far too many sparkling wiggles for my liking....
