I went to Radio Shack in the Rockaway mall today to get a set of RCA cable extenders. So I asked the guy and he took me right to them. Then he proceeded to say "Sir, Can I ask you who is your cell phone provider?" My response was that my company pays for it (which they do) so I didn't need a cell phone. Then this dumb fuck asked me if I had any intrest in a GPS system. I already have one of those too...

I know the economy is in the tank, but WTF? I actually don't fault the guy for doing his job, as I'm sure this was some bullshit from their corporate office. Best Buy doesn't even pull shit like this. What makes any one think that I'm willing to drop $300+ when I'm looking to spend less than $10?

I fucking hate Radio Shack. They charge double or sometimes more what most items should be. And they ask your phone number when ever you buy anything. Good thing there's Frys.

eh, radio shack guys are on commission, you must have looked like an easy mark, and i would bet that he was the manager, they like to send secrete shoppers around all the time too, and if you dont ask the questions that goes against there store revue i usually look filthy dirty and pissed off when i go to rat shack, so the sales people just leave me alone. hell the more i think about it i must look like a monster, usually when someone comes up to me if im not interested i just say no, and they go away

I went to a Radio Shack in a little town looking for a USB memory stick. They had a 1 gb for $109. I ordered some on that internets for about $10/gb.

Do they still have a free battery card?

Lol, want your free shitty red battery? It wasn't even good enough for the shitty green ones.

They quit asking for info a few years ago from what I hear. I have been in one 2 times in the 11 years since I quit working there. I'm frankly surprised they are still in bidness.
