I'm 43 and my eyes have been fine until lately. Having trouble reading smaller print like in paperbacks and medicine boxes. Sometime the high-res of my computer the words are a little tough to read.
Anyway, I just picked up a pair of reading glasses. I picked up the lowest ones... +1.00 They make a hell of a difference on smaller words. They kind of bug me using them on the PC. I'm just worried that I might fuck up my eyes even worse by using them. I know go see an optometrist. I'm going to but it's going to be a few days still.
Anyone just pick a pair of these up and just start using them without messing up your eyes?
I'm still going to see an eye doctor, but I'm just curious.

A few days shouldn't matter. I've worn glasses/contacts for years and thousands of hours of eye strain staring at a computer screen haven't done shit. Don't sweat it.

You have the eye cancer.
Actually, I'm in the same boat. Read fine until a year or two ago, I'm 44. Now I get those cheapo 1.00 glasses in the dollar store. I look like a dork but read fine now.

No shit. There hasn't been much else that has really made me feel old except for these glasses. Glad I'm not the only one having to do it.

oh, the glasses thing doesn't make me feel old, constantly being sore, only being able to fuck for about 5mins, and hang overs that would kill an ox make me feel old oh that and people referring me to as "sir"

I'll admit it. The hangovers are starting to be an issue. I drink about 12 to 16 beers every Saturday night (yep right now) and it's taking me until Tuesday morning before I feel spry again. I think if I cut out the web surfing while drinking I probably wouldn't feel quite so shitty but fuck that. How many good movies are coming out on DVD these days? Not too fucking many that's for sure. I may have to quit completely. Fuck.

Been using reading glasses (+1.25) for about 8 years now. Only need them to read the paper
and while working on the computer or my sidekick.
See fine to drive and no other problems. Small print has just been a pain in the ass for years.

Well you can take them and put them on the edge of your nose, and pretend your Ben Frankin like this fag does.
